Hog Problem
 

I got home from work to find my dead dog and my yard has been rooted up from these things....whats the best way to bait them, theyre out at night, they tore up a 25'x30' area about 8" deep.any help would be appreciated...

If you can shoot em, some corn, flashlight, and a couple of buddies with AR's. Huntin season is over, so you can shoot em at night.

suppose to let local sheriff office know 24 hrs in advance before u plan on hunting them @ night. But if in my yard,, they'd die then and there!! especially after kill'n the dog!!

Sour some corn a few days and pour motor oil on it then put it out and wait

I would tell you to get merc to come one night but we all know what happened last time he hunted and that's during the day

I was trying to shoot like a gangsta with my rifle turned sideways. :-)

Just a couple of buckets bro. If you put a whole drum out and they come out the first night only to get blasted out, your stuck with 55 gallons of fermenting corn in your yard. That's **** stink too.

No my dog was alive, when my ogher two were burried i put 4-5' so that wouldnt happen, it was my kids dog they played with last night

talked to a guy that traps hogs regularly. He takes an old ice chest and mixes corn with diesel. Swears by it.

heard that before, coons and deer won't mess with it but hogs can't resist it.

They say Kool Aid mix works well too.

faygo soda and corn, I'd trap it feed it corn for a couple weeks before you kill it.

Hey inch, I've had some nuisance animal problems, for hogs get you a few sponges from wall mart, soak them in syrup, Steens or Mrs. Butterworts. Throw them outside you're yard in the wood line. Done with that, for coyotes / stray dogs, same principal but soak them in bacon grease. I promise it works.

If you need any help, give me a shout. Have gun or knife to cut them up. If you don't want any noise....I hunt with a Bow. I got plenty of electric cord to hang a light out back somewhere or q-beam.
