Got out around 1230 and the fish didn't start biting until around 430. Started on shiners and only caught 1 small bass that we threw back. Switched to night crawlers and caught 6. Great day with the wife.

Are those mullets?

Yes, that's 2 mullet. My wife was excited b/c it's the "biggest damn fish" she's ever caught. Lol

No, we aren't going to eat em. I had to bait my wife's hook all day so I made her agree to clean all the fish, and since they're so big, slimy, nasty bastards I had her clean them lmao!

I was told it was a different variety then we have here.... I still dont want it either way

Ate mullet before in FL, not bad.

That place is full of mullet. We was out there today and I've never seen so many mullet.

I've caught mullet on a hook 2 different times on the river while bream fishing.

Gonna catch some next time we are down there and let her cook em. Says just butter, salt, and pepper. When cutting them up for bait, its a white meat:confused::smokin:

I was told a long time ago to use bread rolled in little balls on a perch hook.

There is no mud in Florida. Might be why der mullet is good. Our mullet are full of mud

The mullet in Florida are very good had some there both fried and smoked but like feesherman said there is no mud there

I am going after mullet on my next trip, can't wait.
