I like how he placed the bow and the grass so you could'nt tell it was a button buck. Or maybe it was a doe, but it is small.

good lord...i have enough knowledge to know to let that walk. Heck i let 22 deer walk year before last. All the deer that walked met the following standards-yerling alone, momma with a yerling, a yerling and another yerling alone (button buck and doe, brother and sis.) and a yerling that somehow had a baby with it.

i know i just find it hilarious that he would even post that. then try to cover the head with that grass in the second pic. that is priceless

I agree that it is a small deer but it looks like a legal kill to me...

I know one of the things always understood on this website is they would not allow any bashing of someone's kill regardless of size or weight...So please let's not get that started....

slow your role capt blue chip no body is bashing a kill made by a member on this site. we are just having some laughs but as usual someone always has to point out the so called rules and be a stick in the mud. when somebody breaks a rule we will let you know.

Blue, I agree if it is legal and if it is in a hunting club that allows those kills well kill it. At least he shot it with a BOW. No difference than someone posting a pic of 30 or 45 trout and the average trout is 12"-13" (it is still legal). However, I would not do it (post the pic that is). I think he posted that pic becasue it seemed like it was the first deer he killed in a while. Good for him, he can have my deer limit because I would rather clean a toilet than deer hunt. Regardless of size, the ones I laugh at is when they shoot a deer from 30 years and they are using a $1,000 scope and they act like it was a tough shot!!!

i am just giving them a tough time. especially the one that keeps talking crap, he did not even kill the deer. just trying to see how far i can lead a jackass without a rope

I would copy and paste one of his comments on the forum, and edit what he said, and make him look like a flaming homo and see how he likes that... That would tick me off right there..

guys if one smaller than that walks out i'm sticking it and posting it I have killed everything but a deer with my bow and I'm tired of passing. so kudos to the guy for his first kill.....thats the reason i don't post over there

I was taught way better than to kill those lil babies. Wether it be my first deer or not. I've had doe's walk out where i could jump on their back. But right when i'd pull the hammer back, out came tromping lil bambi. So i'd let them walk.

You wouldnt be able to outlaw.. I mean "hunt" with me Fool.. I would have em all in the boat.. I would even have the pregnant doe in the boat... Ill deliver the fawn for her...lol.....

I dont see anything wrong with shooting that deer but I would like to know whats up with the grass on the head.To each his own and its his first with a bow,no big deal.

That site has gotten horrible. It is a legal deer regardless of what everyone thinks. And for his first bow kill, congrats to him. More than I have ever done with a bow. I still visit LAS because there are actually guys on there with good info and posts, but almost every post has someone negative on it. I only hope and pray this site never gets that way. SC has a good thing goin, and I would hate to see it turn to hatred and jealousy.

LAS makes their money on magazines. I doubt they care as much about the forums.
Their forums are nice in the summertime, when the babes in bikinis show off their fish.
But there are not many postings of the area where I live. That is why I am at Saltycajun.
