All caught on Norton's Sand eels suspended in 27-35 feet of water. Anyone want to guess the size of the largest one?

PotLikinisAhabbit 04-29-2013 12:29 PM

hard to say from pics... 4.5 ish

swamp snorkler 04-29-2013 12:36 PM

5.1

TarponTom 04-29-2013 12:37 PM

There isn't a trout in the ice chest that weighs less than 2 pounds. And the ice chest is 94 qt.

BassAssasin 04-29-2013 12:43 PM

10lbs

meaux fishing 04-29-2013 01:04 PM

Well Im pretty sure a 94 qt ice chest is only 26-27 inches wide cause thats what I have in my boat so I'll say 5-6lbs cause them lake P area trout are short n stocky

MarshRat89 04-29-2013 01:18 PM

7.25

Going by this http://www.igloo-store.com/detail/IGL+MARINE+ULTRA+94 It's 30.5" on the inside

I imported his pic, scaled the ice chest to that measurment. Then I pulled a measurment on the fish. Comes out to 21 13/16" I dont know how close that is. I'd imagine a + or - 1" or so.

Here's a screenshot.

I take it back... I think mine is the 72 not the 94

TarponTom 04-29-2013 03:21 PM

And I take back the size of the cooler as well I just went checked the size of the cooler is actually a 120 not the 94. It is under 10#s and above 7.25.

More work to do!

So I recalcualted the drawing and used the (Length in inches X Girth in inches X Girth in inches) / 847 = weight in pounds and came up with 8.443181 pounds. how close am I?

bayouchub 04-29-2013 04:30 PM

I thought the igloo marine 120qt had rope handles?

specksNdaSURF 04-29-2013 04:32 PM

3.5#s

specknation 04-29-2013 04:50 PM

Maybe 3 lbs. no more LOL

southern151 04-29-2013 04:53 PM

It's bigger than anything I caught today!

PotLikinisAhabbit 04-29-2013 10:46 PM

got me curious now lol

FF_T_Warren 04-29-2013 10:52 PM

that spot has produced quite a number of large trout. I was with my friend when he pulled in an 8 pounder right there. and the next cast my other buddy lost one at the boat that was over 6 easily.

Salty 04-30-2013 12:56 AM

Busted by a friggin' cooler??????? :smokin: :help:

FF_T_Warren 04-30-2013 05:06 AM

No but I know chef pass and out of all the times I've pounded those banks there's only one place that produced that many trout and that big of trout consistently. Especially since mrgo closure

SaltERedneck 04-30-2013 07:34 AM

salty gate 2?????

I dont argue with that... I know some big fish have come from there

PotLikinisAhabbit 04-30-2013 11:33 AM

The mistake made here was leaving the weight of a trout from a pic open for discussion. Regardless of the weight nice haul keep the reports coming.

Being that it is a 94qt igloo marine cooler in the pic i agree that the trout is 21-22".

"W" 04-30-2013 12:26 PM

Since you asked

Do you have a pic holding this trout?? Looks about 4.5 cuz its not much bigger than the dinks in the chest
