Saw one similar in size swimming on Lacassine Bayou a couple years back. Biggest fricken snake I ever seen in the wild! How big do they get DB? |

Yellow-bellied watersnakes can get pretty big too, the other watersnakes are generally not as big. |

Caught a yellow-bellied ws out of my parents flowerbed a few weekends back. That sucker was probably 3 foot long. Mom was freaking out. I went Crocodile Hunter on it for a bit. "Calm down little fella, I'm not gonna hurt ya." My parents thought I was crazy. Apparently the snake didn't care for that sweet talk either, but I won that fight. Guess my friends have been calling me croc hunter too long. |

I was crawfishing one time and watched a huge diamondback water snake go in a trap that just ran and steel the bait (cut fish) out of the trap and swim to the levee and eat it. That sucker was big!! |
