Me and Longcast fished that last year but we didn't have as much luck. All we won was an ER visit for a TW in the hand lol. Was there a good turn out?

That's what he does. Crocker soak. It wins him money all year. His nephew is the guy who beat me and LCD last year. We beat him so I took that as a plus.

I broke 2 minn Kota shafts; it'll all b under warranty.... But it may take a while tonget the parts in.... I waited 3 weeks the first time and 5 weeks the second time.
Maybe it was the repair shop being slow; but minn Kota did fix the issue .

Saw this after the boat was on the trailer. Another spot right in the Center of the V had a nice star! Just the top layer :banghead:

Congrats on the win! I shattered my TM shaft just like that. The collar ALWAYS slides down for runs now.

I was fishing a shearwater two weeks ago in grand isle and the same thing happened to his ipilot.
Maybe MinnKota needs to review this design. Sounds to be happening to a lot of units.
Good luck getting it repaired in a timely fashion.

Mine says that nice and clear on the little sticker with the instructions - was wondering if "during transport" meant while on the trailer, on the water or both... Now I know!

His just came unlock also while moving too? The handle doesn't take much effort/pressure to release the trolling motor from the stowed position.
All I can think of is the up and down forces at the bow cause that handle to move and it releases the motor...

He said that the latch (or whatever secures it in stowed position not familiar with TM) had broke the day before and he had not fixed it. Apparently he didnt think that it would come up and over the bow bc we were in pretty calm water.
His boat is <1 year old.
