haoward 07-01-2013 08:15 PM

alphaman 07-01-2013 08:23 PM

Single axle trailer is one bad thing I would say.. does it have a spare

haoward 07-01-2013 08:28 PM

Yes, Only bad thing its a 2 stroke Yam. but still is that a good price? Will be looking at it tomm

wetaline 07-01-2013 08:30 PM

That's what we have except it's on a double axle trailer. Boat rides really smooth and dry.

alphaman 07-01-2013 08:31 PM

Is it the hpdi. R the regular 2 stroke. My coworker has a 150 hpdi on his 05 22ft seachaser. So far so good.

haoward 07-01-2013 08:34 PM

redaddiction 07-01-2013 08:36 PM

Yes it's a good price, unless it has a ton of hours on it.

haoward 07-01-2013 08:42 PM

Dink 07-01-2013 08:58 PM

haoward 07-01-2013 09:03 PM

Credit union will have everything.

haoward 07-01-2013 09:38 PM

Okay should I be worry if it does not have double axle ?

jchief 07-01-2013 09:44 PM

I wouldn't be worried.

Looks like it weighs about 1600 lbs.

its just if u get a flat u have to change it on the side of the road where ever u r.. (crazy drivers) also if there isn't a spare ur boat is stuck on the side if the road untill u get back w/ spare. Im sure you've seen boats on the side of the road.

2 axles u could keep driving to the nx exit. And change it in a parking lot which is much safer

alphaman 07-01-2013 09:58 PM

haoward 07-01-2013 10:09 PM

Dang 25,000? thats way out my price range

bgizzle 07-01-2013 10:18 PM

Really nice! I think it'd be worth it

specknation 07-01-2013 10:36 PM

Is that the 2100 Nautic Star, because I had that model boat in 2005. Only compliant is the plactic lids broke on the boat. Nautic Star now makes the 2110 which has fiberglass lids.

ike84 07-02-2013 09:19 AM

Looks like its not an HPDI, which I would prefer.

Hands down the best motor yamaha ever made....also a great hull. Like mentioned would be better with a dual axle trailer but still a good buy.

I have that exact boat. When I bought the boat it had a single axle. It kinda worried me so I added a 2nd and it made a world of difference when pulling it. If you plan on traveling long distances I would consider it.

Clampy 07-02-2013 09:50 AM

Those 2 stroke yammys are awesome. My 98' ox66 is a beast.

They don't make em like that anymore that's for sure. I work on a crabbers boats at the point that have 150 carb yammy with over 10,000 hours still runs perfect.

swamp snorkler 07-02-2013 10:16 AM

Good Boat, Good Motor, looks to be in decent shape, priced right. Like mentioned, I would upgrade that trailer if I planned on keeping it while.

As far as a Credit Union, they are much better to deal with than a bank. If you financing it I would look to them for a loan. An example, a coworker is looking at buying a used vehicle. The interest rates right now on used vehicles are 1.99 for up to 48 mths, 2.49 at 60 mths and 2.99 at 72 mths. He said no one around our area could beat that.

ike84 07-02-2013 01:39 PM

I dont know if the Mexicans know something that we dont, but last year I was down in Mexico and 99% of their boats had Yamaha 2 strokes (no HPDI's). The other 1% was the yamaha 4 stroke.

2005 yammy saltwater series 2 ox66. Best outboard I've ever owned. Period.

Montauk17 07-02-2013 02:11 PM

I have a 250 ox66 just waiting to find a good deal on a hull. You can't kill em if you take care of em.

haoward 07-02-2013 06:51 PM

Hey guys just got back from taking her for a test drive, Its a 2200, outboard is a 150 Yama. carb. One thing I notice it does not pee strong like my 03 90hp johnston is that a major problem?

wishin i was fishin 07-02-2013 07:00 PM

Good boat, I have a 2110 SE and i love it. Just need to make sure you inspect it well. Compression test would be a definite.

haoward 07-02-2013 07:03 PM

Yes I am doing the compression test tom before buying. The hull have normal wear like scuff ect, the boat will need to be buffed out so I talked him down on price.

haoward 07-02-2013 07:03 PM

How strong should the Yama water pump should be pumping the water out?

budndawn 07-02-2013 07:43 PM

A new water pump is not a big deal

haoward 07-02-2013 08:40 PM

Got him to drop the price down to 14.5 but GPS/depth finder is not working

haoward 07-02-2013 08:41 PM

compression test tomm then off to the bank to buy the boat hopefully. What should the compression be on those motor?

Montauk17 07-02-2013 08:42 PM

Around 125 psi

haoward 07-02-2013 08:44 PM

Okay, to do the compression test its the same as the car? Shut the fuel off and take off all plugs?

Montauk17 07-02-2013 08:47 PM

Yes

budndawn 07-02-2013 08:51 PM

pull killswitch so you dont get any fire. All cylinders should read within 10 percent of one another.

haoward 07-02-2013 09:06 PM

Okay thanks guy
