Blown away...
Do you always turn around the boat to retrieve a blown-off hat? How about #fishing line floating in the drink?

I do, as i have very little hair my head covers are of great importance and value..
fishing line in the drink is detrimental to the outboard motor and trolling motor lower units .

I lose my hat at least once a trip, always turn around to grab it.

I take it off to run. And never remember to put it on. Which almost always results in a sunburnt forehead.

I have one hat that has been baptized in Big Lake quite a few times...
Always pick it up...I consider it to be good look to fish with a hat that been baptized in the same water...just my fisherman's lore...

Blown away
I turnaround and get my hat if I can find it. I launched at the causeway on Texas side one day and a guy on the pier had lost his hat and it had floated under the bridge and was on the way to Port Arthur. He ran over to my boat as I came to the launch and ask if I would go pick it up and I said what kind of hat. Dallas cowboys cap OH wow that's 25 bucks. I went back under causeway and retrieved the hat about 300 yards out in Lake Sabine. I came back to ramp and he met me at the ramp. I had to mess with the guy and told him I didn't find it. His buddy started talking noise and he was about to cry because he had bought the hat the day before. I reached down and picked up the hat and the guy went nuts. Happy Happy Happy.
