Lol .22 LR will save the world one day...best round for survival right? Considering clean water, fuel, batteries, medications, medical supplies, clothing, shelter, survival tactics, the list goes on... won't be necessary if you have 10k of.22 boolits...

southern151 12-05-2013 08:54 PM

Oh, do tell who this D is! That's hilarious, the $ he wants for them!

eman 12-05-2013 10:15 PM

Plant world on G.S. rd. $11.99 per 50 rds in a plastic bag. the bags are sitting in the bucket that he bought 650 rds in.

Pull n Pray 12-06-2013 10:43 AM

That's crazy. I'm 30 years old and I remember when I was a kid, I would ride my bike to the local gas station and buy 50 rounds for $1.

swamp snorkler 12-09-2013 02:09 PM

I bought 300 at Wal Mart in Houma last week, $6 a box. I remember buying them for $.99 a box. And kids could buy them, 14 year old can't even buy pellets or bbs now.

jopete 12-09-2013 05:31 PM

2 months ago i lucked up and found some at walmart. $19.99 for a 555rd box of winchester .22 bullets.

the guys selling them .22's for outrageous prices will get what they deserve in due time. karma is a mofo.

tboy 12-13-2013 04:03 PM

I worked for that douche at Plant World when I was in high school. He was an arse back then and is still one to this day. Only job I ever quit without giving proper notice.

So, let me get this straight. If I buy gold or silver or land or stock in microsoft or google or yahoo, and I sell it sometime later for 10x to 100x what I bought it for, I am a wise and shrewd investor.

But if I buy ammunition or water or food and I sell it sometime later for 10x to 100x what I bought it for, that makes me evil or greedy?

eman 12-14-2013 09:53 AM

No it does not make you evil or greedy. But until we are in a SHTF situation it would make you the proud owner of some 22 ammo that no one is going to buy.
TEOTWAWKI and It will make you rich.
The old guy who owns this store thinks everything he has is gold.

Good point. I have debated many times about so called "price gauging" after natural disaters and such. Granted I believe that a store owner selling gas for $10 a gallon after a hurricane is a POS. That being said, the fuel in his tanks are his property and he should be able to sell it for whatever he wants. The guvment shouldnt be stepping in and telling him what price he has to place on the sale of his own property. If you dont want to pay his price dont buy his gas. Its pretty simple. Chance favors the prepared mind.

Went to Wal mart in lafayette saturday and picked up winchester 333 rd. pack of .22 for 11.99 each. I then went to the gun show and found the same 333 rd. pack of .22 for $50.00 ea . I walked out empty handed.

.220ammo

I just ordered 5000 rnds from MidwayUSA online, CCI mini mags 40gr. round nose in 100 rnd packs including shipping $330.00. It is on backorder but expected in soon. They don't charge your CC until it's shipped!! That's 6.6 cents a rnd which is the best I can locate.

Price gouging after a natural disaster is one thing but I can't think of a catastrophe going on that would apply, except for the ones in some people's heads.

swamp snorkler 02-25-2014 03:20 PM

Just scored a 500 round brick on Cabelas site for under $38 shipping included for those interested

Must have went fast because I couldnt even find .22 on the system at all. I guess when it sells out they pull it off the site rather than just saying sold out.

I go to Wal-Mart twice a week at least look for bullets before I come to work. About 2 weeks before Christmas I was able to buy 300 rounds and a month or so ago I picked up 50 because thats all they had left. The lady that manages the department told me they got a shipment before Christmas and 2 after Christmas. They don't get them often.

GET IT ON IT NOW********>>> http://www.slickguns.com/product/cci...scription=ammo

Just ordered another box

click where it says "@cabelas" and it will bring to a shopping cart on cabelas with 1 box in it then fill out your info.

comes out to $38.06 that's $0.076 per bullet which is a pretty decent deal.

swamp snorkler 02-27-2014 03:02 PM

did you click where it says Cabelas?

I just did it and it shows 1 in my cart but I can't buy it already met my limit for today.

dave 03-22-2014 08:10 PM

ammoseek website is pretty reliable for finding hard to get boolettes

I make oil 03-23-2014 02:57 AM

Yeah at a rediculous price. I won't ever buy .22 ammo thru them.

dave 03-23-2014 06:57 AM

It polls websites (cabela's & some of the others mentioned) that sell the ammo, it doesn't set any prices itself.

Last time I looked thru it, they posted .444 ammo available. I've heard several people say they haven't seen a box for sale in sporting goods store in quite a while -

eman 03-23-2014 03:41 PM

picked up my 3 box limit wed at wally world .CCI stingers $5.85 box / 50.
They had close to 100 boxes.
