I left my plug out if the boat for the first time a few weeks ago.

Never saw my bilge work, ever. That thing was pumping and pumping out the side, then it would stop for a few seconds, then go again for a while. I turned white when I realized what happened, my truck was parked and we were pushing off the dock, luckily I could reach to put the plug in, but got half of my body and face wet. It was cold too.

Also, first time I ever launched and loaded a boat I decided to hit declare launch in the summer on a Saturday, figured I may as well get it out if the way! The wind was blowing and it was PACKED with nice boats, and me with my flat bottom tiller. I had to tie up on the canal, then back down, then get in my boat and try to maneuver into the slip with the wind and currents shoving me past the opening a couple times. I just kept laughing and wishin someone would start hollering so i could have a squab

Was at a marina once where you had too pay to use the ramp before you launched. there was this guy one day who hadn't paid first and was already on the ramp, he got out of his Jeep mad as hell and cussing up a storm he came inside to pay complaining the whole time...meanwhile his jeep, which he neglected to set the brake, rolled in completely under water. This was at Lake Tahoe so the water was crystal clear and everyone could see it. We laughed for days, in fact I am chuckling now....

Im getting some bad vibes about some peeps on this sight. There is one active female member and some people want her to leave or get run off. Gota wonder about guys that like those "all male" kinds of clubs.

Clampy 12-10-2013 02:34 PM

Don't take it wrong, I haven't been here long, but know that burn handles are best when done under the disguise of a lady. So, it's not that they want to run women off, it's just they don't want to be fooled by some schmuck making fake names.

and you sir, are the winner!!

LakenLady 12-10-2013 02:43 PM

Watched a guy launch a kayak with a bicycle the other day kayak, trailer, bike and all...
Also saw two guys at the river load an old duct taped up jet ski in the back of a very old dodge caravan and drive off. They just open the back hatch, backed it down in the water and pulled the jet ski right up in there. Note that all the seats were removed.

I know I did just by watching those fools:rotfl:

AubreyLaHaye458 12-10-2013 04:35 PM

My first time launching paw paw's blue wave by myself I unlocked the winch and and unrolled it a few turns but kept the belt latched. Well I forgot to lock the winch back when I finished so when I hit the water the boat floated up and took off backward and the winch never stopped. Luckily I was able to get out in time to keep it from spooling me and had to sit there and reel it in the rest of the way so I could get in.

Reminds me of the song "Lola"

"Girls will be boys and boys will be girls
It's a mixed up muddled up shook up world except for Lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo Lola "

Forgot to put the plug in one day and slid the boat into the water and it sank. Could see a piece of the rope floating in the water so a buddy came with his prized lab and we sent him out there to get the rope and he swam and swam in circles, buddy was steady blowing that whistle. Had my wife bring our dog to the ramp and I threw a rock where the boat was and he came back with the whole boat
