True Detective on HBO
 

Did anyone watch the premiere last night? It stars Woody Harelson and Matthew Mconaughey as 2 Louisiana State Trooper detectives investigating a crazy murder in a cane field outside of Erath. It was ritualistic and the chick was bound up with deer antlers attached to her head. It was pretty throwed off. The whole show is set in south louisiana and the first episode was pretty good. Just wanted to put it out there in case anyone wanted to watch.

Missed it but the writer/producer is from lake Charles. St. Louis grad!

Nic Pizzolatto? Wow, I didnt know that. Once I realized the show was set in south LA, I figured it wouldnt be long until they name dropped Lake Charles. Sure enough half way into the episode there it was.

Ever since they killed Jimmy, I couldn't get into Boardwalk anymore.

I'm gonna watch 1st episode of True Justice tonight.

Same, I was already wanting to get it for Game of Thrones. I saw the preview for this but didn;t realize it was set here.

After I watched last night I found myself a little confused getting used to the structure of the show, with the back and forth of time periods. But for most of the day today I keep coming back to it and thinking about it. I think this is one I will be getting into, I'm already sucked in.

I'm up at a hotel in Arkansas with HBO and I watched it. I enjoyed the first episode and the previews for the rest of the season look worth watching. When the wife called me I told her we either need HBO or netflix. I'm sure netflix would be the way to go cuz I'm almost positive cox will want an arm and a leg for the HBO package.

I just got it thanks to LCD but it's 5.00$ a month for a year

HBO always comes along with great mini series. Miss the Sopranos sooooo bad!!! Like Boardwalk Empire, and got the first episode of True Detective. Jury is still out for me on this one.

Yeah I liked the first episode but I can see it turning scifi.

All right who thinks a cathouse south of Spanish lake would look like that on TD...prob would be some nasty looking thangs roaming the trailers

Dude, I was on edge once the sh*t started poppin off. That crazy SOB threw it down with them bikers. Its like each episode is progressively better than the one before.

Really cool show. I wonder how many cigs Matthew Mcconaughey had to smoke filming it lol.

Exactly!! I was kind of left shaking my head after the 1st episode, now I can't wait for Sunday nights to get here!

I got it dvr'd...gonna have to start watching it... I'm hooked on game of thrones and true blood... Vikings kicks azz too..

I gave up on true blood seasons ago. First and second season were pretty good then it got kind of ridiculous.

I got hooked on The Soprano's, Boardwalk Empire, etc.etc. - so it's worth it to me.
