Just getting a little ahead of the game. Received all the health certs. Back on my gip yesterday and did a fertility test. We'll be breeding tomorrow and Tuesday so pups to come soon. The stud is HRCH-SH with a good back ground on paper. Both dogs hunt and pick up a lot of birds per year. I'll be asking $600 a pup.

Here's the pedigree on mine. One more generation back she has NFC's and AFC's on both sides. I'll post the stud's when I get it tomorrow.

I know Pat. He's got a nice dog wit a lot of drive. And the entire litter will be Choco's

Yea, He's only two right now. He should only get better. I thought maybe with the mix I had on my dogs side there would be a yellow or black in the litter. Pats dog is almost straight chocolates 3 generations back though. I was just doing some research and found that with two chocolates you can have chocalate and yellow but never black.

I'm making an educated guess that your dog is yellow-factored and his is not. Your litter will be 50% straight chocolate puppies and 50% yellow-factored chocolate puppies, on average. If his dog was yellow-factored then you would have a primarily (50%) chocolate (yellow-factored) puppies, a few (25%) straight chocolate puppies and a few (25%) yellow Dudley's.

Yea, the Dam my dog is out of is a yellow.

They will probably all be chocolate.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you can get a test and it well tell you what they will throw.

Yea, but from what I understand the only thing the test will tell us in this case is whether they are yellow factored or not Because they are both chocolates... In the case both are yellow factored then there's a chance to have both yellow and chocolates. If not there will be all chocolates.

So these pups sire and dam have health clearances and certs?

I have a friend looking for a gundog, but will only purchase if it has EIC, CNM, and hip clearances.

I may be interested Scotty if she throws any black Females.. Uhhh.. Maybe a brother in law discount?? :))))))))

Won't happen man she's bred to another chocolate. I can maybe hold you a chocolate female. You've seen how my dog crosses a field for a goose. The male is a damn good dog too

Brought her in to the vet today. She's not quite as far along as we thought. The pups weren't developed enough to tell for sure but it looks like it's gonna be a big litter. We counted 10-11 pups in one X-ray and 9 on another.

She dropped last night 8 out of 10 made it. Would of been 9 males and one female. I need to check my book but I believe I have 2 males available no females available for sure
