Possible explosion LC Sulphur area
 

Getting word of a possible explosion in the LC/sulphur area?? Anyone hear it or feel it??

Plant???

It was heard in the Bluff on my back porch. I called work and was told it wasn't us.

I heard it North of Gillis

Scary part is people in Carlyss are claiming it shook their houses... Carlyss to moss ....bluff that's quite an explosion!

Who was it on 108 that used to have those big decomps? Was it Westlake Petro north of PFU?

Haven't heard anything. I'm in sulphur now on Hwy 108 and have been for the last 5 hours.

First time I heard one, I was in the tank farm and thought I blew up. Heard and felt it!

Westlake poly has decomps too... But its been about 6 years since last one... I work at poly and we havent been told anything happened... So dunno

I just talked to a friend that lives in the neighborhood behind CJ's old bar and he said you could feel it in his chest but he drove around and didn't see anything.

It is westlake poly that has decomps, not petro. But that was not westlake.

KPLC says there were several emergency vehicles around Superior but they didn't find anything there and don't currently know what it was.

I can remember one 3-4 yrs ago...

No decomps at Petro, it's Poly that has them when a rupture disk over pressures......sometimes. 7 news is talking about another tannerite incident. They gonna end up banning that stuff.

You are correct on that point. I thought you were referring to the network of ppl checking on the plants. We all work at, or have friends that work at the plants and it is out of concern for these ppl that I check around when something like this happens. After I find out that they are ok, I'm good.

decomps now are not as bad as they was 40 yrs ago out there

I didn't hear anything about this until tonight, I was told it was something behind or at superior, Fire dept, sheriffs, homeland was all there for about 10-15 mins and left...who knows.
