any body know the difference between the tourney pro and the inshore? look the same to me except exterior finish?
|
Just picked up a unused super duty 5.4 : 1. Can't wait to try it out! Just gotta pick a decent rod to pair it with...

i was leaning toward the super duty....lemme know how you like it

Great reels... Fish them in both salt/fresh and zero issue. Very smooth and great drag. Out fishes the Shimano Curado all day in my opinion (compared to Lew's Speed Spool Series of similar gear ratio)
|
Bought me a Lew's Laser MG Speed Spool 7.1:1 today, should be in by the end of the week. Plan on fishing Saturday & Monday, I'll report back with my opinion.

I have 4 Lews tourney pros and 1 Tourney MG... have had all of them for 2 years.... had an issue with one of them but academy swapped it out for me no problem... I love them... I like them bc of the small profile... And they cast a mile and very smooth.

Crab. I have the t pro and it casts further than my green curado. Sold it after I had lews and never used it.
|
soooo....lots of votes for the tourney pro, is it better than the inshore or superduty?
|
Super duty felt to bulky for me. Haven't tried inshore

i loved mine... it was the ms8 i think with the speed spool... i had two problems with the reel though..
1. i found out there was a fine line when putting string on mine, if i put a couple foot too much, i'd backlash every cast... take the line off till it was right and it was amazing. 2. you cant run them over with a truck. besides those two problems i was always very impressed with it. |
Casted the heck outta the super duty 5.1:1 today. Had it on a 6'10" medium action Duckett ghost with 15# seaguar floro. Haven't decided if it's love or lust, but I like it a lot.
