Is the auto retract still hooked up?
When I ran Lencos on my skiff the auto retract was installed and the noise drove me nuts. I used them a lot on that boat though. I'm boat sure it would be such a big deal on a bigger boat since they don't get used all the time.

When you learn to adjust em for side chop that's when they really pay off

They keep ya butt in the seat when you come across a big wave!
It keeps the bow down so it can cut threw the chop vs. flying off the top of each wave and slaming into the next one coming wave/swell.
It fun watching the passanger hold on when they see a big oncoming wave and all the boat does is lay down in the into the nx wave.

Ahhh. Thanks for the valid info! We needed some this morning running across BL. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing 2-3ft swells. I'm pretty sure the boat went airborne a few times. lol

Yep that moment when you think your going air born is when those trim tabs pulls that bow down.
When your in that type of chop amd have those tabs down its an O SH*T....O WOW moment lol

Scott stop stalling and get u some. Remember the slop we had to go threw when we went to vbay. from south west pass to the point with a cold front. Talk about crazy! North wind was kickin

Trim tabs make a huge diff IMO. The only negative is it slows you down, but if you have em down you're not going fast anyway bc it's too rough.

What size do you need for a 20 to 21 foot bay boat? Are the LED indicators a must or is it something you want really noticed after you get use to adjusting like motor trim?

[SIZE=3]I have them on my boat and they make all the difference in the world. GI had a hell of a chop this weekend and I only got sprayed once and that was running in a quartering sea. The light indicators are nice for when you are first learning how to use them but after you get the feel for how the boat preforms with the tabs down you don’t use the indicators. IMO the biggest down fall with trim tabs is you will burn a lot more fuel when you are running with them down.
