Sure wish I can but got a work that OT for the offshore boat fuel.. : (

Montauk17 05-09-2014 08:00 PM

I will be out there somewhere between south point and the pass as long as the weather holds off.

Bson 05-09-2014 08:04 PM

Maybe out if icy in the afternoon. Depends on weather.

rk3 05-09-2014 08:22 PM

Wanted to get out there, but am showers look more likely than pm…kids activities in the pm….but will see when I wake up. If I make it, Blackjack with two kids and me…probably around the pass

The shop in Broussard 05-09-2014 08:29 PM

Gonna wet the yak tomorrow, probably put in at the state park and try around the cove and shark bayou.

Quackhead62 05-09-2014 09:28 PM

Would be going out of ICY to beat up the marsh ponds for some reds, but I'm on call and pretty sure the water is still nasty inshore

Welcome to the site, keep interacting and be sure to post a report with pictures in the fishing reports section - this will get you cash to use for raffles that take place throughout the year.

Plus, we need more Lafayette area contribution!

wishin i was fishin 05-09-2014 10:03 PM

great pint Goooh.

Ill be out tomorrow. Meeting up with Alphaman, gonna divide and conquer.

Goooh 05-09-2014 10:06 PM

If I were around i would definitely be out there with y'all

Mako19 05-09-2014 11:31 PM

I had plans to go but will be working on the boat and trailer instead due to the impending weather.

Have three weeks left to get the rig ready for snapper season!

Changing bearings on back axle of boat trailer.
Changing wash down pump so we will be able to wash down the boat while on the water this year (hasnt worked since we owned the boat)
Changing bilge pump and adding spare.
changing old fuel line to the blue ethanol friendly line in case we ever HAVE to run erhanol fuel.
Changing water seperator.

Last weeknd we re-wired trailer and changed bearing on front axle.

Still need to put a coat of wax on her too.

Going to be a lot of work but have to do everything possible to avoid any problems during the ELEVEN day season this year!

Good luck tomorrow!
Be safe and will be looking for any reports.

haoward 05-10-2014 05:56 AM

Mako19 where will you be lunching this year for snapper?

Going to be in Grande Isle 6th-11th.

You should come on down.

We have a group of 3-4 boats going to be out there.

Montauk17 05-10-2014 08:29 AM

Well so much for that....didn't even make it to new iberia before burning up a brand new hub on the trailer. Damn the luck....hope yall have a better day than me.

Crankbait36 05-10-2014 08:51 AM

I hope y'all know the bridge is closed on Hwy 83 again so you have to go around once again to make it to the Point. La has to be the only state that can spend millions building new bridges only to open them up for a little while and then figure out they have problems and close them again for weeks at a time. I think someone needs to beheld accountable at dotd

alphaman 05-10-2014 09:02 AM

It's open i just crossed it. Your talking about the one in lidia
I'm coming from Lafayette.

Dang, that sucks. Sorry your morning didnt go as planned.

What do you think caused the problem?
If it was a brand new hub I assume the bearings were new and freshly packed too.

Axle problems?

I got them from Academy. $13 / set but they only had 3.

I got the last set from Autozone and it was $26!

Big difference

So not a single dang Fishing Report ??? A bunch of "fair weather" bla bla's.

Hint, find some protected water, canals, dead ends, etc. Open water is chocolate.

Bakermanjr 05-12-2014 05:46 AM

Ok, I'm confused now, can you not go through Lydia to get to the point? Have to go around again?

alphaman 05-12-2014 07:15 AM

Not intercoastel going to pecan island.

Intercostal from abbivill and point from same open

Promis I drove all dem roads south of abbivill sat.

Only brige I saw with a total mess was north of 82 and north of the curve bar.

Cletus3173 05-13-2014 03:58 PM

I went Sunday (Mother's Day). One gaff top and one black drum at the trash pile. Plenty of wind and 3' ground swells in the north bay. Tried a few spots from Delcambre canal to ICY, nothing. It was good to be on the water, just not a good day to rip lips.

Jrchip1 05-13-2014 04:06 PM

Hear ya go

Quackhead62 05-13-2014 04:13 PM
