Lake P guide

Anyone have a guide they have used and wwould recommend? Thinking around September maybe early October I want to make a trip. I have never fished there or anywhere on that side of the state so looking to check it out.

Clampy 05-19-2014 06:28 AM

I don't guess you could go wrong with Dudley Vandenbore

August is a really bad month to fish Lake P for trout. Wait until October-Jan.

Why? Just curious.

PUREBAY2200 05-19-2014 09:09 PM

Dude is not a good guide, posts same pics with different days. Has been caught lying about the number of fish in pics and the days he caught em on

He took 2 days of fish and tried to pass it off as one day.

He takes his friends fishing and calls it a charter, he has no clue *** he is talking about 90% of the time.

He makes up stories about his " sponsorships" and his " TV shows"

There are way better guides to choose from.

Dudley is the best
John falterman is also very good

I would not book a trip in June , July or August

Wait till end of sept or October

Anyone been with Capt. Eric Dumas - living a dream guide service?

PUREBAY2200 05-19-2014 09:30 PM

Last pic I saw regarding him was his boat with a broken trailer ...... But he def catches fish.
No further comments at this time.

He had it fixed to my knowledge. He used a back up boat on the day it broke.

In the summertime go to Hopedale or Venice, you can catch some hammers out in Breton sound. Just wait for the river to start falling good

B Shark 05-20-2014 11:08 AM

Fished with Dudley several times before, great choice. I think Dumas (King of the Causeway) will be my next guided trip, maybe Gallo after that.

Clampy 05-20-2014 11:39 AM

I heard from another well known guide that fishing with DD is you basically funding his quest for state record.
I'm guessing that meant if you already pretty good at fishing Dudley Is good but if you are a novice it won't help.
Don't know anything about the man other than what I saw on TV and he seems like a good dude.

Of you like trolling rattle traps and using live bait and letting your guide catch all the fish while your I'm the back

He is your man

He is a very good dude. All of the bridge lure throwers like to fish first and foremost. And they have to to see if there are fish to be had. Dudley will teach you, but it's very hard for a novice to learn the skill set in one day to be real productive, especially with the wind and tide on most days when the fish are on the bridges. All the guides have to catch to stay in business. Doing that style fishing means the guide has to fish a good bit.
