I believe so, that wasnt him that got shot though. So ridiculous, he was just responding to a domestic disturbance and they shot him.

I'm glad it wasn't him nor am I glad it was any officer. I hope the person responsible for this never sees daylight again.

Domestics are the most dangerous calls there are.

Really? On a thread about an officer being shot??

Do you know why domestics are the most dangerous?

Finfeatherfur 06-23-2014 03:02 PM

Nope - I'm all good. Was on the heliport when Air Med landed with my brother in Lafayette. He will survive a GSW to the neck from an ambush inside the house. I truly appreciate those that were concerned.

Clampy - no need to start a debate on this thread, prayers for his recovery are what we need. Thank you.

Clampy 06-23-2014 03:13 PM

Hope he gets better.

Hope he gets better and I hope they curb stomp the guy that did it.
My grandpa told me some stories about the crazy DD calls they used to work.

Matt G 06-23-2014 03:37 PM

Horrible situation. Hope he gets back on the beat as soon as possible.

Dude - you can call me whatever, just don't call me late to the party!!
He is stable and in surgery, so I really appreciate everyone's thoughts & prayers. Some people are just "anti cop" and that is their right. But, he was responding to a 911 call from a kid about his mom and boyfriend arguing. No one deserves an ambush.

Clampy 06-23-2014 03:38 PM

What sucks is that the woman might call but when they try and take away the man they both have a common enemy.

Lol. I'm glad he's stable. I hope they hang the trash who is responsible for shooting him.

Glad he is doing good and recovering. Wish he had shot the culprit dead!

Have heard many stories about this happening. People do some crazy stuff.

eman 06-23-2014 04:30 PM

One of the most failed situations on the FATS is a domestic violence situation.
Prayers for the LEO.

fishfighter 06-23-2014 04:40 PM

wow

glad it wasn't you fin, hopefully your brother makes a full recovery and gets his moment with the a hole that did this to him

OnePunchRex 06-23-2014 06:56 PM

papap 06-23-2014 07:24 PM

My hat is off to you guys. You put your life on the line every day and the pay sucks. Way under paid.

fishfighter 06-23-2014 07:32 PM

Again

Another one this one didnt turn out good

State Police are investigating the fatal shooting of an off-duty Vermilion Parish deputy. Troopers say the deputy, whose name is being withheld at this time, was cutting grass near the intersection of Hospital and Cougar in Vermilion Parish when he saw what he considered was a suspicious vehicle. Troopers say the deputy called the Sheriff's Office to report it.

biggun 06-23-2014 08:55 PM

Yes.. He was fatally wounded.. My son is one of the investigators.. It's very sad...

Please pray for the Deputy and his family....

Matt G 06-23-2014 09:49 PM

This piece of **** needs to suffer. After murdering someones husband/father, you have the audacity to ask the reporter for her phone number???

Suffer? Now he's getting a free place to stay, free meals, and free healthcare all on our dime. And he'll probably be regarded as a hero in prison. He's got life made now. Those 2 motherf***ers should have never made it to the station. I don't think a jury in the world would convict one of the officers for puttin one in their head. Same goes for the POS that shot the Jennings officer. These guys put theirselves in harms way to HELP people. Not to run around with inflated egos and trample on our rights, like some here would like to believe. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who are affected by these 2 shootings.

Finfeatherfur 06-24-2014 02:42 PM

I can tell you this - not one officer that I know will pull the trigger on someone unless they are in fear of their own life at the time. Why???? Because the judicial system is too ready to put us in prison and we have been trained to be "politically correct". I personally think our training to have restraint, puts in harms way even further. Would I like to give this POS a dirt nap - absolutely! Am I prepared to go to prison for it - NOPE. Most of the time, these POS's get high, then surrender making sure someone has a camera or a laywer with them so their "rights" are protected!

Welcome to the America we have created!

Also note that I have to be very selective of my words on a public forum!
