Action Arms - Sulphur

Just found out last week that Action Arms in Sulphur is owned by Joe Palermo, Jr. I will never step in there again!

Dont they own most things in sulphur?

Bluechip 08-05-2014 06:29 PM

I've bought a few things there. It is a nice gun shop.

I haven't tried out their indoor shooting range yet but plan too.

Because he saw him on the news.

OnePunchRex 08-05-2014 09:56 PM

Ol' Joe sounds like a thief and a liar. I don't care how nice his shop is, I won't shop there.

specknation 08-05-2014 11:53 PM

Don't shop there, this is not the place to bash other businesses. This seems personal to you, and you should keep it that way IMO.

Agree!

If you cannot voice your opinion in an open forum, what's the point of this site. JOe Palermo has been around for a long time and a businessman. He was recently arrested for possessing stolen equipment and altering the vin numbers on a trailer or two. A guy with enough money to buy new equipment has to buy that stuff is shady. And the equipment was tucked back in the woods on some of his property out of sight.

I won't argue that.... But if I had to boycott everything his money is involved with, I doubt I could spend any money in Sulphur.

The point of this site is to post outdoor related things, not personal hatred for a business owner. Bottom line I don't log on this site to read dirty Business Laundry it's a OUTDOOR SITE.

If I refused to do business any business owner who had done something illegal, I'd have no one to do business with. Perhaps they weren't this blatant or, significant but, I can't think of one who hasn't gone home with something they didn't pay for. I can't think of a one who hasn't stashed cash or cooked the books a little to avoid taxes.

We've all got something back there that we should NOT have done.

Well said. I'd be careful casting stones. All of us have something that we, or someone in our immediate family has may have done that we are not extremely proud of. Right?

specknation 08-06-2014 05:26 PM

This post is as useless and tits on a bull. I don't like someone so let post a thread about it, you need a little cheese with that wine LOL.

Not trying to start an argument but why would It matter what anyones immediate family does? As long as you didn't do it who cares?
My brother spent 1 1/2 years in jail. I talked to him 0 times during that period. He was being punished for being a dumbazz. I didn't care.
I know I'm an azzhole. Reminding of that would be mute.

Has he be covicted by a court?? Or is he just being judged by individuals going by what the media says. Judge and you will be judged..

Not judging, just stating facts. Sorry if he's your buddy but I chose not to buy guns from someone who was arrested for possessing stolen goods. If you want to buy them good luck. Don't be upset when that pistol turns out to be stolen and gets you in a heap of crap.

Lake Chuck Duck 08-07-2014 08:25 AM

Lmao, they arent bootlegging guns out the back of a car trunk

Lol you'd be surprised. My cousin got a phone call from the sheriffs dept sayin they were comin to pick up his AR because it was stolen. And he bought it from a "reputable" arms store.

The guy once distributed every video poker machine in Sulphur but lost his gaming license over some other shady stuff. So add video poker to your boycott.

Anyway has anybody been to the indoor range might check it out this weekend.

Are they allowing other guns to be shot besides just pistols?

I'm not sure but most indoor ranges are pistol only.

I just found it to be ironic some of those that were condemning criminals on this thread, that's all.

CajunSteelsetter 08-09-2014 09:09 AM

Well at least he had a good idea for the right business. A buddy and I were talking a while back about how it would be a good idea to have a gun store with an indoor range in the sulphur area.
