Somebody needs to push all those birds out to us in the rice...

I'm beyond ready, I've been getting my stuff together little by little. I'll really be fired up in a couple weeks when I hit the marsh to start cleaning up blinds.

I have a good feeling we'll be seeing birds in the next couple weeks.

Yall have fun putting em down boys!

I lost my place to hunt this year so i'll be watching from the side lines!

Going work on blinds next week. Will post GC report later.

First season in a new blind in GC. I'm ready when they are!

Getting closer. Farmer should be cutting our rice in the next few weeks.

Ran the mud boat runs last week in GC. Plenty of fresh water, level was very high. I'm sure water will drop by the time season rolls around. Marsh is in fantastic shape but widgeon grass looking a little sparse. Chris the front side looks real good; all ponds have good aquatics. Did ya rebuild your blind last year?

Where do all you guys hunt in GC? I hunt just a few miles west of rockefeller, I'm interested to hear yalls reports I'll be heading down in a couple weeks

I hunt exactly 2 miles west of the church south side of road.

Hunting south and west of Church all the way down below hog bayou.

What's the status? Anyone starting to see birds?

There are a bunch on Rockefeller and the big pasture in GC. Heard they showin' up in the rice fields. Ponds up front by the Church are totally filled with widgeon grass. Should be plenty of birds by opener.

Bruh, they need to open the season earlier.

Open in June, close at the end of March

Spotted 20 or so at the farm this morning. The scouts.

This is what I like to hear, we are a few miles to the west of the rock. Going out this weekend to check on blinds etc I'll try to post some pics of birds

Had them by the hundreds in lacassine pool last week

Any teal reports from this weekend? Didn't see any in GC this past Monday. Lot of water everywhere.

Was down in Little Chenier for 2 days. Didn't see one teal the whole time or the drive down and up.

Buddy's land in Creole has some on it.
Seen a few in JB aswell. Not many tho.

We saw one blue wing on the 23rd in little chenier.. There around there somewhere

They got a few at our lease near Roanoke. Not as many as I thought there'd be though. We gotta kill 54 opening morning so I hope there's at least 55... ;)

I made a single reed teal call so at least I'll get to try it out. It's high pitched but i think it sounds great!

True dat. Saw about 150 honkers in a fresh cut corn field in DeRidder yesterday though...DIBS!!

i know who owns the corn field.... I got DIBS !!!

I saw a flock of 7 fly over my Gfs house yesterday bf dark on South side of Lafayette ..... Spotted a few flocks around my lease in Pecan Island and heard from a few ppl that the birds r thick of the north side of white lake

Going check out my lease South of Kaplan either THURS or FRI plus I will do some riding around. Hopefully, they have birds next week.

Dam you! lol saw a few small bunches on Vernon Lake Monday.

Im glad I have a couple of friends inviting me on hunts cause otherwise I got no teal season:cry:

Anybody know how the teal hunting is around the thornwell area? I have an opportunity to lease a spot just for teal season over there.

That's a real good area and have been hearing reports of teal in that area. Of course different fields are gonna be different from one another but it is a good area.

Some guy on tiger droppings yesterday said they were seeing good numbers in that area
