New tires!!

Anyone on here in the tire selling business? Looking to find the best deal on a set of 285/75/16 AT tires for my Tacoma. Mine are about shot! I used to work at Fireston tire center on ryan st. But that was years ago and i no longer know anyone there. So far if i buy online ill save 300 bux... id prefer to buy local to keep the money here. But im not goin to spend 300 bux more just to do that.

Go by Hurricane Off Road and Twisted Off Road. They have takeoffs that they sell. Good deals.

Top Dawg 08-14-2014 09:33 AM

Bolton ford. They will beat anyone else's price usually by a couple hundred. They sell their tires $5 above cost.

BuckingFastard 08-14-2014 09:34 AM

offroad.....

BassYakR 08-14-2014 09:44 AM

still looking at 200 bux cheaper to order online... guess imma go that route... Ill check with Brady at Twisted tho and see if he has any take offs.

Top Dawg 08-14-2014 10:09 AM

BassYakR 08-14-2014 10:13 AM

Keep in mind it cost $100 to have them installed in town.

BassYakR 08-14-2014 10:17 AM

yeah thats with the 60 bux for mounting and balancing added. its insane the price difference.

Top Dawg 08-14-2014 10:33 AM

Just looked at Amazon real quick. For the same tires I got on my truck they are listed on amazon $30 more per tire than what Bolton quoted.

duckman1911 08-14-2014 12:12 PM

Good luck bro. I will be putting tires on my ride in the next week or two. Nothing I hate worse than working on my own vehicle. Going the A/T route instead of mud grips this time. 12.5mpg sucks.lol

BassYakR 08-14-2014 12:21 PM

Im not looking for any of the bigger name brands...bc IMO they are overprices and are no better than some of the lower line brands. ive been quoted 900-1200 mounted and balanced from everyone local. online i can get them for 600shipped... then 60 to mount and balance them.

Lake Chuck Duck 08-14-2014 12:23 PM

Who is mounting and balancing for 60? Is that a brother in law deal?

BassYakR 08-14-2014 12:29 PM

delta world on country club and lake... they have been doin all my mouting and balancing for years.

Top Dawg 08-14-2014 12:50 PM

What kinda tires u gettin?

BassYakR 08-14-2014 12:53 PM

Capital A/T or the Kenda A/T

BassYakR 08-14-2014 12:54 PM

Even for a local place to order either of these tires itll cost me 100 bux more plus shipping. Hard for local guys to compete

Paulox86 08-14-2014 04:29 PM

New tires!!

For $40K you get a new set of tires and they throw in a truck for free.

Nate I paid around 800$ for the tires on my truck at bolton...33's...

BassYakR 08-18-2014 06:43 AM

800 isnt too bad considering the prices ive been gettin around town..but online i can get em for 600 with free shipping.... then 60 bux to mount and balance. Im all about saving money especially when its something that i DO NOT want to spend money on. lol HATEEEE buyn tires.

bmac 08-18-2014 09:57 AM

I bought tires for my wife's car at tirebuyer.com. They have a choice of installers near you, ship directly there for free. Then the installation fee depends on the installer. For Delta World in lafayette it was $25 a tire.

I just checked your size in Goodyear Duratracs and it was $965 with tax and installed.

bmac 08-18-2014 10:03 AM

Grabber AT2s at Delta in Lake Charles installed + tax $765.12

You still get free rotations from the installer I believe.

Those are also 33" 17's so you could probably bring the price down some on your size tires..

BassYakR 08-18-2014 06:21 PM

Actually the 33" 16s are more expensive bc they only come in a load range D or E.... for 3/4 and 1 ton trucks... sucks... wish i had 18s... would be cheaper.

Thats pretty retarded...like common full size car tires are $$$

duckman1911 08-20-2014 06:35 PM

Put new treads on my ride today. 285/70/17 $660 and $50 each for new tire pressure sensors. Three of my sensors had a dead battery. Went A/T instead of M/T this time. Truck doesn't humm anymore.lol.
Glad I was slow this afternoon and able to do them. Right rear had a nail in it and was leaking but it wasn't good enough to fix. It was tire time.
