Give a little update from today ... Started off bad but end with Confidence heading into day two

Our plan A got destroyed yesterday at noon when they decided to close the weirs , Matt and I both had been on some good slot fish way back in that marsh ( lot if overs also ) but this was our game plan. So we had to adjust to what we know and that is just fish . We made a long run for a all or nothing shot and it was nothing nice nor pretty! So we changed course and found a bunch of reds later In the am . We landed a perfect slot fish but had to weed through a ton of 3 and 4 lbers .

We had two pop lines today but really don't know if they were overs or not.

Think we can get a good finish tomorrow now that we know where our day will start !!

Also caught a stud trout !!Attachment 74015

I feel for them boys. The first tourney here in June was bad weather for them. As luck would have it same scenerio. I hope lee and Hanchey can hold tight at the top.

Everyone should fish in a tropical storm once in there life !! It's awesome when you don't need to even pump water in live well !!

Great tournament and fished with some awesome anglers for the coast

Thanks , those guys who fish these redfish series know there stuff , lot more than just going fishing ( like we did) lol

For someone to just come in on one event and win would almost never happen , our plan was not the best but we made due with it and stuck to it ,once we could not access marsh behind weirs ! We also didn't want to take a chance running west due to all the private land and not knowing what's public or private

And the jetties were out of the picture


On another note it might take a week for my hands and feet to come back to normal

Weather .... Can't set up all that in the rain and we kind of ran through weight in quick because they had another cell coming
