A400 extreme

Going pick up an A400 extreme tomorrow...max4 or black?? I can't decide!

cgoods17 09-01-2014 09:29 AM

black

Nitramiii 09-01-2014 09:31 AM

Max4

specktator 09-01-2014 09:35 AM

Camo just less maintenance. If you go black, just make sure you wipe it down after every hunt. Especially if you hunt in the marsh. You can almost watch black guns rust in the marsh. But camo also chips and scratches easier.

jldsc 09-01-2014 09:44 AM

I got a black one...I have to say the finish is a better quality than my older one...Wipe it down and dont leave it in your gun case over night...

This is exactly why I got a camo extrema 2.

it doesnt matter how hard you hunt your gun or where you hunt with it... besides the basic wear and tear on it, as long as you TAKE CARE of your gun and CLEAN IT WHEN NEEDED, it will most likely last you a lifetime.

Vermillionaire 09-01-2014 10:48 AM

Camos come and go, black is forever.

Have both, black is my choice.

speck-addict 09-01-2014 04:50 PM

black wont rust due to aqua tech

Ed32 09-01-2014 05:31 PM

i have the black and i haven't seen any rust in 2 years.

Dogface 09-01-2014 05:50 PM

I have the camo but I like the black better. Black will be my next one.

I have 2 Benelli Vinci autos.....one Black and one CAMO....if you hunt a lot you will want the CAMO. It is worth the extra 75-100 bucks!

Hitinitdaily 09-02-2014 08:12 AM

BLACK! I've had mine for 2 years with zero issues. I hunt Marsh and Rice fields. My buddies who have the CAMO have had issues with deet wearing away the camo.

Black is timeless and lasts!!

Top Dawg 09-02-2014 09:11 AM

I heard u can leave the A400s in a wet salt water case the whole offseason and it won't rust.

jldsc 09-02-2014 10:25 AM

supposed to have a coating resistant to salt but I dont know about yall...im not leaving my 15-1600$ shotgun in the case that long

ive rinsed my a400 out with the water hose before and just added a little oil to it and it shoots just as good as the day i bought it. ive had it since the day it came out and never had any issues with it rusting at all and i also hunt the wax every weekend of the season.

SULPHITE 09-02-2014 11:52 AM

I like to soak mine in a brine solution during the off season...

I prefer Camo.

Camo guns are about like barrel stickers. 90% of them are owned by "hardcore, face painting waterfowlers." For this reason I'll never own one.

Could happen with improper care for sure......
I have a 686 onyx that will see it's 19 season this year......I've hunted everything from Onion Lake off the Vermillion to the mouth of the river......where I spend most my hunting days in fact......

It's been a paddle, a push pole, and several times a dog taming device......

I clean my gun before I clean my ducks.......
IMO that the fihish is indeed better on the newer guns.......but there are thousands of guns killing millions of ducks that are wood.....

It's an age thing I think.......my son's gun safe is full of plastic and black guns that do not shine.........mine is full of classic wood guns......

No disrespect at all........just what I be likin for years

Idk where you buy your guns from but my podna Brent Colomb over at Acadiana Outfitters can hook you up with a pretty good deal and they have them in stock right now. they also do intrest free financing for 12 months on purchases over 500 year round. Tell him you heard from Tyler Osborne and he'll take care of you.

Man I appreciate that. I wish I had known that sooner but I already ordered and paid for it. I am getting it from bayou teche guns. The price that I got from them is the lowest I've seen from anyone.
