Bunch of birds in welsh area and gueydan from what I hear. Know of a couple fields they are really concentrated in. Saw one of em this AM. They'll be around once all the shooting starts.

What fields did y'all see birds at? Anything up north?

Just read reynolds report. Increase in birds from last year, still 3rd lowest on record. Largest concentration (90k) in Lacassine pool and SE of Welsh. Total count near 100k

He is talking about 4 mile square west of Hwy 27 just south of Sabine National Wildlife Refuge. West side of the state.

Went to GC saw no Teal, some squealers & Mottled Ducks. Went to Little Chenier and saw no Teal and some Squealers (Saw more Deer than ducks 7). Went north of Kaplan and saw about 40 in one field. First real birds I saw. I hope they show up, Good luck to you all on the opener.

Holly Beach had a few flocks of 10 or so. Saw a few singles too. Was only out there for 20 minutes.
