I bet its a great feeling throwing your Yeti bucket in the back of you truck, wearing your Yeti hat, and admiring your yeti sticker on the back glass of what I'm assuming is a King Ranch F-350. One day I might be this cool.

I just got back from a trip in Cambodia. As we drove around I started noticing that the shanty stores of the poorer people had what looked like yeti style ice chests to store their cold products they were trying to sell. When we got to the fish farm we are assisting with they had ice chest of the same style but it was the size of a medium sized deep freezer. The appear to be made out of the same roto-molded durable kayak material as the Yeti's and keep ice just as long. They did have different hinges and not "bear proof" latches. They were made in Thailand. The price of the deep freezer sized was $140.00. The price of one comparable to the Yeti Roadie was about $50.00. If someone had enough money to invest in a container load of these to America, they could probably make a decent amount of extra change.

I'm pretty sure this is what K2 has done.

People that have bought them claim to reduce ice demand by 60% when using it for kegs.

No I haven't, and i'm not knocking them I own two. I'm pretty sure that they are made overseas. I checked the site and nowhere does it say where they were made. But I suspect that if they were made in the US it would be stated so.

have had one for 10 years plus. Used for a catchall in garage and even mixing concrete one time. I can leave in back of truck and not worry about somebody tearing up my camper window to steal it. Paid maybe $12 bucks for it.

Redneckyacker 12-15-2014 02:32 PM

I see you have the " DELUXE" model
