Took Ray out today since no one else wanted to come.. Ol Ray said he aint scared of a few clouds!!!!

We did not rip up any numbers by far but pick up some real nice fat winter trout

Had a huge fog bank roll up on us this morning right after daylight.....

No net today. I have a new one, but he told me all I needed was my rods.

Not bad, the water looks alot better than it did yesterday.

Only Reason I took the pelican pic was because of the band..there were two banned ones

Our biggest trout was under 5lbs but we had a few over 4lbs

Nice catch...that fog was crazy today,it was foggy almost all afternoon in lafayette.

If'n it was possible to overheat a Shimano, I think I would have done it today.
I chunked more in one day that I ever have.
It's nice to have someone else working the trolling motor for a change.

Can anyone take me on a banded pelican hunt???? I need one more to finish out the "flying flock" I have in my gameroom....

We chunked it in a pot of roux. Seafood gumbo.

Jordan said thats all he did when ya fished is run the boat:eek:

He can make perfect circles with the trolling motor, but he can't stay on them birds.
And he is perty good at pulling the boat off the trailer too.

Next time I see you I have one of them old duckbill plugs for your boat, that way you dont loose so much time fishing:*****::p

I needed to do that at least once.
To test the theory that my arms are not long enough to reach the plug
while still in the boat and the boat is in cold freezing 2 ft. swells.
Now that I know that, I will always put the plug in the boat BEFORE
I launch the boat.

lol yea there was absolutely no way you were gonna reach that plug from inside the boat. I guess we coulda thrown Jordan out and he coulda swam under and taken care of it.

Dat bassid said he saw the bilge pump running at the dock when I was parking the truck,

when the water was over my chest waders in the bote

It got on top easy. The plug hole is small, I guess the pump has a higher output
than the incoming water.
I noticed it when we stopped at the first set of birds. I thought Ross was pizzing
off the back of the boat, against the wind.
