Ray 12-10-2009 12:51 PM

I worked in NOLA for 2 years. Every Wed. we went down to eat lunch at Maiden Voyage or Ricks. All you can eat steak, fixins and desert for $10. Not a bad way to eat lunch.

longsidelandry 12-10-2009 12:52 PM

Nope, not at all. I couldn't work in N.O., I would spend my whole check on Bourbon St.

Ray 12-10-2009 12:54 PM

I was just there for the steak. Honest.
It was tastee.

longsidelandry 12-10-2009 12:55 PM

Is that one of the hardest things you ever unwrapped?
My wife said she WILL NOT ever open a Stix rod again.
She said getting the tube open was easy, getting the
rod out of the bubble wrap and pipe insulation was a
job all by itself.
Billy makes sure nothing will break while it is in transit.

My brother was at my house when I noticed it was here and he was helping me take the wrapping off, I think I told him 100 times to make damn sure he didn't scratch those rods with his knife while cutting the tape.

Ray 12-10-2009 10:29 PM

My wife opened my first one. All of them have come
in while I was offshore. She said it was a beautiful
rod and it was very light weight, but she will never
attempt to unwrap one of them again.

fishmaster911 12-10-2009 10:36 PM

ray i was sweating while trying the get the news paper off. i didnt use anything with a sharp edge! its a good looking pice of work there. love it. but i can tell u anything about what happen in florida for the passed month!!:*****:

Ray 12-10-2009 10:39 PM

Newspaper, bubble wrap and black pipe insulation.
Lots of clear tape too. Billy is a sick bastid, making
us go thru all that agony and anticipation to get
it open.
But they's are beautiful rods.

billystix custom rods 12-11-2009 10:44 AM

you will never see the cuts on my leg if you live to be older than a dried out cow turd:*****:that beeeess personal my friend, but i can tell you this, i can remember when i was a kid about 17 and riding a harley hanging around pool halls, i have sent a few dude's down the rod with almost as many cuts on his arss as i have on my leg, but i am not proud of it now that i have grown up, in those days i cared nothing about no body or nothing just brawling, now i know how it must have felt, because my leg is going thru hell right now, i had open heart and it was a piece of cake compared to this and i have more to go in 4 weeks:help: this will be just as he said a clean up. but when it's over it will be all good.
"and while i am here""
my rod packing i have a "rod packing"rep :*****: i have been getting sh## about this for the longest time it does 2 things ,it prevents breakeage and mostly it causes the customer agony in trying to open the package cause i know it is killing them to get to it, so i do it to prolong the agony :rotfl:
stix :)
