Blackjack 25

Got a facebook update that the kenner boys are finally going to show off the 25' blackjack they have been working on this weekend at a boat show. From the shots I've seen of it I bet the sucka is a smooth operator.

rk3 04-08-2015 07:39 AM

I will be working extra hard this year at being good. Maybe Santa will take note. I spoke with the factory last week and from the little info I was given…..wow. May have to take the drive to Mississippi this weekend.

Mako19 04-08-2015 07:44 AM

Any idea what one of those bad boys will cost? Not in my price range just curious. Always good to have goals right?

juicegoose 04-08-2015 08:02 AM

I would imagine 75-100k

PaulMyers 04-08-2015 09:07 AM

$70, 000 plus electronics, tm and such.

maddog 2 04-08-2015 09:16 AM

Does anyone have pictures of it. I can't find any online

bayouchub 04-08-2015 09:21 AM

If they go near 100k rigged I would hope that they update the inside layout of the boat from the 22'

The console is all new with loads of room for electronics, complete redesign. Completely loaded should be in the 80k to 85k range from what I'm hearing.

juicegoose 04-08-2015 10:49 AM

It looks like from the pictures I've seen online that the inside will have jump seats. Thats all i've seen different but of course I've only seen one side profile shot and a top shot of the hull.

Mako19 04-08-2015 03:10 PM

What is the realistic HP that is appropriate for this size rig?

While we're dreaming...

What would you run on it?

If you are going to go big you might as well GEAUX BIG!

I would go with a 300 Verado or a 350 Yamaha like the offshore guides run in Venice (I have no idea what the right size motor would be).

bayouchub 04-08-2015 03:21 PM

If your near the 100k range for a bay boat do yourself a favor and check out the Barker

Twins would give you better turning capabilities and allow you to limp in if one motor had a mechanical failure.

I just never see any bay boats with twins but then again I never see any bay boats this big either.

calcutta37 04-08-2015 05:15 PM

New merc 400 on an all forest green boat like Sam's at heberts. With a grey inside.

You just not looking hard enough... I've seen a couple of bay boats with twins

Visco 04-08-2015 07:06 PM

I really do not think this boat is rated for that much horse power

Just personal preference. If I have a 25' boat I will be offshore in it on choice days. And I would rather have 2 150s than 1 300. Just my preference.

I've ridden on a couple of 26 foot Shearwaters. Both of those had a single Yamaha V8 350. That is a very similar boat, and the Yami was the perfect size to pick it right up. But I think trim tabs are a must.

SuperDave 04-09-2015 12:20 PM

I'm just glad he finally removed the trip hazard off the front deck. I hated that design.

juicegoose 04-09-2015 12:38 PM

Wonder when the pictures will start showing up. I haven't seen anything yet on their facebook account.

What was that?

juicegoose 04-09-2015 01:14 PM

From the pictures of the deck it seems the layout isn't any different then any other mainstream bayboat. Center rear livewell, rear jumpseats, front dry storage and rod storage.

It's got them sexy lines though

rustyb 04-09-2015 01:18 PM

Im waiting for the 30 ft bay boat. LOL

juicegoose 04-09-2015 01:26 PM

That boat does have some dang good looking lines. Beautiful boat for sure. I'd give my left stone for the 224. I'd have to ask the wife if I can sell them first though. Stones that is

probably talking about how the front deck had three different heights. I thought that was insane too

juicegoose 04-09-2015 01:46 PM

Ya'll talking about the step/cooler then main front deck then sidewalls? I can tell ya the little step down is nice on boats that have them. Keeps the knees intact when your slingin trout and jumping off the front deck.

rk3 04-12-2015 06:45 AM

K2 eliminated the height difference between the front deck and the rod boxes on the left and right, now that is flush. Looks like there will be rear jump seats and I hear that the mechanicals will now be easier to access.

BaseballFisherman 04-12-2015 10:06 AM

Look up BlackJack Boats on Facebook. Their page now has a bunch of pictures of a finished 25.

calcutta37 04-13-2015 05:29 AM

Don't have Facebook. Could someone post up a few pics?

Kyle71 04-13-2015 08:31 AM

Bill Kenner and his son Dalton will be bringing this boat down on April 24th to Lake Area Marine in Lake Charles. All are invited to come by and view the boat!

calcutta37 04-13-2015 08:57 AM

Will Ya'll be putting it in the water?

Kyle71 04-14-2015 09:41 AM

As of now, we will not be putting it in the water. That could change if we get some interest.
