Bolton in Lake Charles or Courtesy in Breaux Bridge.

They should both cut $8000 of the MSRP.

I have the fever bad bad

Also Sterling in Opelousas should do the same. As a matter of fact, please go buy the Ruby metallic XLT FX4 they have so I can stop looking at it on the website every single day.

Duffy.yyz 05-12-2015 08:52 AM

Go talk to Gene Duffy and Lance Citizen at Bolton Ford.

cajun_poboy 05-12-2015 11:26 AM

If you buy from Sterling in Opelousas, they have free oil changes for the life of the vehicle. And you don't have to go back to Opelousas for it, you can go to sterling Hyundai on Johnston st. I bought my work truck from them and the free oil changes are nice. My personal truck, I bought from Shetler ford in Crowley. they beat courtesy's price and threw in the extended warranty, plus any time I need service, they come to pick up my truck in lafayette and leave me a loaner while they service it. Just some things to consider....

very good option to consider....if you think about the life of the Truck....you can save big bucks...

alphaman 05-12-2015 11:40 AM

I bought my dodge from Opelousas. Your right about the oil changes though

alphaman 05-12-2015 12:01 PM

Eco boost r 5.0????

Ed32 05-12-2015 01:41 PM

i'm getting ready to pull the trigger on one also and i think i'm going with the v8

"W" 05-12-2015 02:03 PM

Do NOT get echo boost ( just walk in any Ford Dealers shop and see em on the racks)

I only buy from Bubba Oustlet in Jennings have done my family great over last 40 years

I just purchased my 12th and 13 th vehicle this year

sparkyc4 05-12-2015 02:23 PM

READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY!!!

Goooh 05-12-2015 02:23 PM

Get a big V8

sparkyc4 05-12-2015 02:24 PM

If you want a better engine, drive train, gas mileage, etc...buy a Tundra.

rustyb 05-12-2015 02:32 PM

Fords v6 3.5 and 3.7 have outsold the 5.0 this year. I have both eco boost and 5.0. Heavy loads the eco will output the 5.0. Other than that not much differnce. If you have a heavy foot the ecoboost will drink more fuel. I have 66000 miles on ecoboost and has never had a problem, the 5.0 has 90000 miles and never had a problem either.

Keith_Stone 05-12-2015 07:36 PM

I had a 2012 F-150 with the Ecoboost. Just traded it in 2 months ago, never had any issues at all. The only reason i traded it in was due to the size of the camper we were buying I switched to the a diesel.

Clampy 05-12-2015 08:36 PM

Love my ecoboost. Fuel mileage isn't what they claim but if you drive like a Grandma it's great.
90k changed one coil pack.

shellman 05-12-2015 09:14 PM

5.o or tundra 5.7...ford would do better fuel econo. And tundra 5.7 towing...

4fish 05-13-2015 07:53 AM

Ecoboost !!

Honest question here...

Who are you insured with and, did your rates move in either direction?

I ask because, in the collision industry, this is a major debate and, this vehicle has cost us tens of thousands already. The industry is trying to pinpoint the additional expenses on the consumer. It has been documented that identical repairs on a 2014 F150 are approx. 28% less than they are on the 2015.

If you don't wish to post this information publicly, I do hope you'd be willing to do so in a PM.

Thanks for your time,
Corey Fisher

mriguy 08-04-2015 02:00 PM

Farm Bureau, no idea if it affected my rates. I will let you know

Thank you much, sir! By the way, you have the best insurance group there is in this region.

slimbullet 08-04-2015 07:51 PM

Don't fall for those $xxxx dollars off msrp crap. Only one way to buy any vehicle. Take the window sticker and build their truck on nada or edumonds. Get the exact msrp to make sure all options are selected. Take the invoice price and subtract rebates. A good deal is 500 or less above invoice minus rebates. Do not fall into being a payment buyer.

bjhooper82 08-04-2015 09:35 PM

Congrats on the new truck. That's a sharp looking ride! I love that color combo.

Sorry, I'd have to disagree on the service part. I'll never take my any one of my 3 Fords back to them. I live in NI and I take my vehicles all the way to HUB City. Thats an unbiased comment based on own experience.

Wow, I have a close friend that raves about Arcenaeux. I was thinking of bringing my truck into them.

Baychamp1 08-09-2015 09:32 PM

Traded in 2013 Tundra supercrew La. Edition 2wd 4.6 liter 310 hp for the Ford 150 4x4 supercrew 3.5 liter with ecoboost & 365 hp. there is no comparison on gas mileage, Ford is @ 3.8 mpg better overall

specktator 08-10-2015 08:35 AM

I'm averaging 17.7 mpg

I trusted them at one time when an old school friend was the powerstroke mechanic. When he left a few years, I quit going to them because I did not trust them (because of past experience with other vehicles). While visiting Dallas two years ago, I bought a f350 diesel and have always taken to Hub city for service every time except for ONE time!!! I was out of town and had my wife take it to the new Iberia service center for the works oil change....when I got home and went to wash it, my DPF fluid light reminded me I was still less than half full, was supposed to be included... When I washed the truck I noticed the front wheels were much dirtier than rear....didn't rotate tires....then got me wondering about other checked items and found that my brake pads grew!!!! How can brake pads grow thicker 2-3 mm???? That was it I went back to the shop and the service manager was not ther, so no one "could" help me I'm told. Left my number after sitting and waiting for the service manage for half hour....never received a phone call. NEVER will I go to that service shop again...and I also have a friend that is in sales...wish their service department were as good as hub city. That is my personal experience, if you feel comfortable, take yours....but do yourself a favor and mark one or two wheels if you get the works, and pay attention to all inspection items....good luck

Love my ecoboost. All of the trucks I have owned were Ford's. My last one was a 2000 model f150 Marist that I got 280,000 miles out of before trading it in. They are tough trucks.

mriguy 08-26-2015 03:51 PM

First time checking mileage after 2nd tank, I got 19.47 combined. I'll take it, 35 gallon tank

pretty sure its a 36 gallon tank ;)

I love mine as well. I'm still amazed I get 15mpg pulling my boat (16 alumaweld bass boat)

I put 640ish miles on one tank when I went to Arkansas, and averaged 20mpg, and I wasn't taking my time by any means.

evidrine 04-04-2016 10:11 PM

Been driving an ecoboost since 2012 and I still love this truck. Been a Ford buyer since my first truck and will never change.
