OK, who's at the beach? What's the water looking like?

I can't decide if I what to make the drive [65 miles] or not.

I went by boat a couple of weeks ago when the winds had been light and out of the north for 2 days, but the water was still not clear around the rocks. Water had about 12" visibility a couple hundred yards out from the rocks, but only 2-6" visibility around the rocks.

We caught no trout in 1.5 hours fishing. I did catch one 35" Red..... that felt like it was a 40+ inch fish. There were schools of Reds busting the bait but that is not what we were after.

Water looks horrible, nothing but Jellyfish, seaweed and sharks.

Hell or high water I'm going tomorrow afternoon and dropping a roadblock on hwy27, you better leave before me.

Now if I can only keep them East Texans off the beach...

EOSDIS Worldview suggests that the beach water, near the west jetty, is nice and clean this pm. Tete Butte is looking nice also.

Well I'm not sure the N wind is gonna stick around much longer, the Calcasieu Pass station is showing a Easterly trend.

The flags at Putt Putt on Common Street showing a whole lotta east in em and 0 North.

Imma wreck the beach and i don't give a dam. Tx boyz blowing spots..you know we go H.A.M..... stringers lookin full.. gettin kinda heavy...i tried to tell boys..but y'all ain't ready. Might stick 40 might catch thirty, heard my name in the streets...who? Mustard Mouth Murty! When i step out the truck i smell the trout in the air, throwing double rigged Dudley's...tx boys don't care.

Meaux ain't ready... all passes got denied....Imma stick toads on the beach, Puttin 5's in ya eye. Trout game sick you know i ain't a lie, bob back in laffy think that boy gonna cry, can't wade the beach can't hit the Jetty, i got them fishin flows just like that boy Fetty.

Went to check it out this morning. Holly beach rocks and east is dirty, maybe 2 inches vis. Lots of shrimp popping being chased by nothing but ladyfish. Heading east to try and find some cleaner water, will report back.

Sat image suggested cleanest water up to the beach was closer to the W. jetty. It showed dirty water past the rocks at HBeach and further west.

Interesting it's usually cleaner the further west you go; the jetties are providing a little protection from E-Wind.

I hear ya, I'm goin fishin just not the beach. I need some fish in freezer and I'm trying to convince my wife that checking out my 6 year old and taking him is a good idea.

Been here like i said its purty nice !

We went yesterday evening. It was muddy. Caught zero trout in an hour. Green water line was over 1mile offshore

It's over now but I whacked em two days in a row on beach
