How many would be on board for an archery thread? Compound, traditional, matches or hunts. Hell throw in some bowfishing. Talked to chincken and he's up for the idea. Can we make it worth his effort? Hope so.

I'm all for it. I have a Matthews Creed for sale in the classifieds right now and I'll be ordering a brand new Matthews Halon next week. Let's get it cranked up!

I would be for it....... if the term "broad head tuning" a bow is not allowed.

I've been bowhunting for about 9 years.. mostly on public land.
I'm not the most knowledgeable guy out there but I would be able to help some of the newer guys with strategy and general knowledge.
My weakness is probably in bow setup and tuning... I usually bring it to a shop.

I'm in, never enjoyed deer hunting until I got a bow. I've got the fever for sure now. Love shooting my bow.

Right now I'm shooting an 80lb E35. Favorite bow I've shot to date.

I'm in. Mathews no cam. So far it has taken out 1 hog and 32 squirrels. Haven't been lucky on a deer yet

That Halon is a great bow! Just can't justify getting one when I got the Nocam last year.
I loved my old Outback but since I picked up the Nocam the Outback is just an emergency spare..

Only one deer and 2 squirrels with my Nocam but turkey season is right around the corner and planning on putting it to work!!

I shot both bows a couple of weeks ago to compare and loved both of them. The Halon has just as smooth of a draw cycle as the no cam but the speed of the monster series. I really love my creed and hate to sell it but I work 14&14 so I only get to hunt half the season, and then with two young kids at home I'm lucky to make 4-5 hunts a year, so I can't see the need for two bows in my case.

I prefer bow hunting to rifle hunting but during the rut I will often have bow in hand and rifle hanging in tree with me.

And that is what I thought of the Halon, wish I would have waited but I got a great deal on a Nocam that only had 70 shots through it and was only a month old last year. Couldn't pass it up.

I just bought a bow in November missed a couple... still far away from being a pro, I love slinging arrows

Yeah, it's been at least 3 years since I've rifle hunted. I'll never quit rifle hunting all together but much rather bow hunt also.

I hunted with a crossbow in Ohio and killed some of my biggest bucks with one, as well as a slew of does. It will teach you to get close, that's for sure. But the main draw for me was the four month long bow season compared with a 1 week firearms season.

I'd much rather hunt with a rifle or even a muzzleloader. I don't really appreciate making things harder than they need to be.

That and the bucks are all in bachelor groups and very little pressure those first few days of the season. Two years in a row I had bucks in velvet for first week of season coming in during daylight every day.

Love bow hunting. Unfortunately, because of health issues, been shooting a crossbow for years.

Haven't shot my compound in a while. Been having too much fun with my recurve. It's just been a play toy but I want to get more serious about it. Killing a critter with a recurve and instinct shooting would be awesome. I need to kill something with it so the wife won't frown when I upgrade my bow.lol

I'm still shooting my Mathews Switchback XT... As long as it keeps killing, I'll probably keep shooting it.

My kids are getting to hunting age... My daughter shot her first deer this year so I ended up hunting with the rifle a little... Killed my first deer with a rifle since 2005.

I MUCH prefer bow hunting but a lot less tracking with the 7mm-08.

That 7-08 is a killing machine. Easy on the shoulder too. I load a 140 nosler accubond over 41 grns of imr4895. Slayer

I love the challenge of getting in range of a deer.
Still hunt some with my rifle but on public land if you don't bow hunt, you don't have many days to hunt.

We decided to get into bow hunting for the same reason. We're in a club but were missing out on those extra days for bow hunting. Really enjoy it.

Just ordered my Halon today. Should be in my hands in about two weeks. I'll be sure to post up some pics and give a good review.

Found out yesterday that the halon I ordered is on back order until the end of next month! I could get a camo one today but really want the stone tactical finish. Oh well, I'll just have to be patient but it's killing me!!
