Boycott the Saints until they FIRE SEAN PEYTON for proposed CIVIL RIGHTS Violations
|
I got rid of my season tickets, threw away all the cups I keep from the games including the NFC championship game ones, wrote Bobby Hebert an email telling him he's not my hero anymore, didn't cry when Hokie and Will and passed on and I'm building a fire right now to burn all my shirts and Jerseys. Thanks for the heads up.

Punish the whole group because of the actions of one individual?
The irony:rotfl: |
You can't wipe your butt with the 2nd Amendment without getting poop on the whole Bill of Rights.

Well said. |
Sounds like a complete liberal idiot to me. I've always liked him as a coach and appeared to be a good level headed person. Time for him to move back to Chicago if you ask me.

U are the Dumbest A zzz I've ever read. Where is the civil rights violation?? Coach Peyton was just expressing his opinion. Everyone has there right to there own opinion. He lost a friend, player, that was close to him. If my memory serves me right??? U have expressed your extreme views and opinions on why CCA is the cause for every evil and bad that has happened to BIG LAKE. I think even about "Why Home schooling is the best thing since sliced bread". No one on here has hollered for you being banned from this site. U have your own right to express your opinion. I'd like to see what U would SAY?? If it was your on child, wife, or family member that was shot and killed for no sane reason. Come ON MAN. Get REAL. And Before you start bashing me.. I've got lots of shotguns. I've been waterfowl hunting before U were born. So I'm not anti-gun. Guns don't kill People........ People kill People. |
Banning guns would be a violation of civil rights, and Payton's comments make it clear he is advocating for additional gun restrictions:
"I hate guns. ... I've heard people argue that everybody needs a gun. That's madness. I know there are many kids who grow up in a hunting environment. I get that. But there are places, like England, where even the cops don't have guns," Payton said. He looked up information on the internet about the .45 large caliber gun that killed Smith. "We could go online and get 10 of them, and have them shipped to our house tomorrow," Payton said. "I don't believe that was the intention when they allowed for the right for citizens to bear arms." "Two hundred years from now, they're going to look back and say, 'What was that madness about?' " Payton told Jarrett Bell and USA Today. "The idea that we need them to fend off intruders ... people are more apt to draw them (in other situations). That's some silly stuff we're hanging onto." The Right to Keep and Bear Arms is not "some silly stuff we're hanging onto." It is a fundamental civil right guaranteed both by the US and the Louisiana Constitutions. See: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...th-i-hate-guns Perhaps the problem would be clearer for some if he was advocating taking away the right to vote rather than RKBA. |

His opinion doesn't mean any more than anyone else's. If this idiot can't realize that bad people will find ways to do bad things, then that's him. You honestly believe this idiot can sway political matters? That just shows how dumb politicians, and people, are if they are swayed by what some overpaid football coach has to say. Again.. I guess because of your superior mind.. U feel expressing ones own opinion is a civil rights violation. I guess if he was anti-fishing you would be calling for his firing also.. Go read my Big Fish Texas title on this site if U want to get fired up about something. I posted it for a friend. These guys HATE RECREATIONAL FISHERMAN.... I'm FOR the STRICTEST of background checks for the sale of all guns.. If U have a criminal record besides miner speeding tickets etc.. You Should NOT be able to own certain types a gun. Domestic violence, drug conviction etc. No guns of ANY type. But I'm just expressing my own opinion.. The guy that shot Will Smith was a lowlife coward. Remember most laws are for the every day law bidding citizen.. Thugs and lowlife criminals will always get weapons. Just my 2 cents. |

So if I say we should take the voting rights away from homos, I'm not advocating that their civil rights be violated?

And I'm ignorant? Did he, in fact, throw his weight around? Sounds like he was just vocal about it. He didn't say anything to the effect of "I'm taking the Falcons out of Atlanta if this bill passes". And the Governor, the REPUBLICAN governor, was against it from the start. Even says so in your little article. The fact is, this tragedy hit close to home for Sean. If it hadn't happened to a former player, he would have never said a word, even with it happening all the time in New Orleans. He even makes reference to other shootings and how you "don't hear that noise" when it happens in the Lower 9, or New Orleans East. Before Sunday, none of that mattered to Sean Payton. But because it happened to a friend, he is speaking out. You sure are showing your true colors recently. God forbid anyone have a different opinion than you. |
What happened to that young man is tragic but proves one point. Always have a gun. Never bring words to a gunfight. Had he been armed himself he may still be alive. We'll never know now.

It's a sad state of affairs that people in our country can no longer disagree without being disagreeable. Unfortunately the new norm is to assault an individuals character as a person because of a disagreement with an opinion they hold.
People of all political stripes are quick to paint someone as bad, evil or a dullard because they hold a differing opinion on a political or social issue. Sean Peyton's job is to be a football coach. In that regard he's done a pretty darn good job. His opinion is his own and he's entitled to it (in spite of the fact that I disagree with it strongly). The First Amendment applies as much as the second. Are we to limit our friends and associations to people who are in lockstep with our own opinions or world view? That would really be boring. I'm very conservative, one of my best friends and fishing buddies is very liberal. We fish together, have fun, crack jokes and on occasion even argue about politics, however I would quickly defend his character against anyone who tried to besmirch it because they don't agree with his politics. He's a good man, better than most. Honest, generous, hard working, successful, great family man and loyal friend. He just happens to have opinions shaped by a different set of life experiences and a different world view. People need to quit demonizing individuals because they disagree with an opinion. I miss civility. |
This was written by a former team; Roman Harper. This is WHAT'S ABOUT. I think there is a Bibical saying" About Casting the First Stone...
This man had 3 very young children. He was Shoot in the Back... I have mourned for a few days now. I did not want to speak in haste and I wanted my words to be tactful. I will lead off by saying if God can forgive all sins then so can I. Will Smith, my brother and teammate, you will be missed dearly and I still can't wrap my imagination that you are no longer with us on this earth. This tragedy could have happened to anybody, and that's what scares and eats at me the most. Will Smith you deserved better my brother. As a members of the greatest times in New Orleans Saints history I look back at the mindset we all had during those years. We could do no wrong, and the fans loved us so much they would never let anything happen to us saints players. We were treated as royalty. Family to the people and the city. Violence and crime made an exception to us. I'm deeply saddened to see that "our" city has broken that feeling of trust from me. Heartbroken for the Smith family and their loss. Will's children, his beautiful wife Rockie, and his parents are the true victims here. Losing a husband, father, and son is something no one is ever truly prepared for. Will Smith I hate that I will never argue with you anymore. I will not hear you talk about how much "will is always right." Or that I won't be able to call u "big willy style" on our nights out on the town. And I hate that in 3 years we will have our Super Bowl reunion and you will not be there to hug me our teammates in joy of what we all accomplished that year. I do know that Will Smith we will "walk together forever," and you are already truly missed by many. As our captain on the field you helped bring our team, organization, and city together in our championship year in 2009, and in your death you will bring us all back again "CLOSER THAN EVER" in 2016. We Love You and Rest in Peace Will-------Roman Harper 4/12/16 |
My civil rights have been violated by the use of "their", "there", "they're" on this website. For who's firing should I call?

Sorry.. I didn't use spell check. I'm the offender.. Sorry I violated your sensibilities. Ah. your Civil Rights.
I use "THERE" instead of "THEIR". Didn't use They're in any way.... I guess I should be band censored for 3 mths. :))))))))))) Now that I thing about it !!!!!!!!! But what about my right to use misspelled words??? I think My Civil Rights are being violated by you calling me out about 2 small grammatical errors... :))))))))))) Oh wait let me go get my gun......My life is in danger. :))))))))))) |
I'll just leave this here

Regardless it is a reminder that you never know when your time is coming. It's a tradgic situation. |
This is, to say the least, a high profile senseless killing which the anti gun advocates are going to use to their advantage. There's already talk about a second line march & rallys. God forbid handgun laws similar to NYC, where your concealed carry permit is no longer valid, and just about the only way to get one is through the police commissioner, only issued to LE & those well connected. You end up with no effective means of defending yourself.

For me...........the rub is where he lies like Obama.......
there is no place I buy from that will ship a gun "straight" to my house......that is misleading and feeding the stupidity....... |

I'm just exercising my constitutional right to a little good-natured ribbing, sir! In all seriousness, I think the man was distraught over the loss of someone and decided to open his mouth and voice some opinions that could be considered stupid, depending on what side of the issue you hang your hat. Unfortunately, these days we read and hear just about every opinion that folks have, even ones they might've been less likely to divulge in a different time. |

In the aftermath of Katrina, a carry permit was vain hope against illegal gun seizures in the Peoples' Republik of New Orleans. But they might give you your rusty gun back a few years later ... |

I can promise you one thing, this is gonna be a gut wrenching funeral if it's broadcast, that's going to spark a lot of emotion in a lot of people. At that point from a legal standpoint as it relates to the 2nd Amendment, it's damage control mode. Past any boycott mode, need to start thinking about preserving our rights!

Always like Sean Payton
but he definitely needs to stick to football. Celebrities always think their opinions and words mean so much more than the average citizen. He lives in his big house, probably in a gated community and sophisticated alarm system and wonders why people need guns. Wait till he gets robbed at gunpoint or someone shoots one of his kids. Criminals will always have guns, and as the NRA so aptly put it, the only antidote for a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Heck, think I'll have to go watch a couple of Dirty Harry movies now.
|
Those tragic things that happen by the minute go unnoticed, but this is different, like it or not this is the guy who on Feb. 7 2010, caused hell to freeze over, (Payton) at least for one Sunday LOL, he has tremendous influence within the city . All I'm sayin is, if you have to enter that city, or you're a resident, you should be afforded the right to concealed carry, from now til judgement day. (Response to duckman1911)

ok, so payton is a liberal democrat, so what? sports are sports and politics are politics and I don't confuse them.
liberal democrats are everywhere (unfortunately) and that's why this country is in the crapper but his political views are just that, opinions, and he is entitled to think so stupidly if he wishes (even though all the while, he is being surrounded by armed security on many occasions wherever he goes at any event) just look at that moron mark zuttenburger (owns facebook) just said. he said trumps idea of building a wall is racist and wrong because stopping illegal immigration would be a crime and everyone should be welcomed into this country and yet he bought every house in the whole neighborhood around his house just so he wouldn't have to live next to anyone???? that's how liberals think, they don't, they just spouse nonsense because they have no clue but would never apply those crazy views to their own safety and security. |
This has been said in so many ways already.. but, to break it down. Why, when a shooting occurs "gun control" becomes some legal battle of some kind, when the perpetrator illegally committed the crime anyway. Further gun control IN PLACE wouldn't stop this incident from happening..
If it's someone's right to bear arms, guess what, if you choose not to, then DONT. We'll put you on the news when an armed robber assaults you, and miraculously you defended yourself, without a gun. cuddos. PS: for grammar teachers, I know I used too many commas...r is it to, :D |
If anyone is go on away their saints tickets away in disgust holler at me I will take them
