You guys seeing any numbers?

0 here in Ville Platte!!

Might be going check out a blind with a buddy Sunday by white lake. I'll post a report if we go.

Damn, Big C. They mist have moved out, because I saw a good bunch south of Miller's Lake last Friday. Two big groups and a few smaller ones.

Went n marsh n Grand chenier yesterday nothing. High water hope they show up next week

Seeing some in the rice fields south of Abbieville. Going to get the blinds ready in the Boston this weekend will report after that.

We've had teal at our place southwest of Houston since the first week of August

But are they still there??

Birds are still around in good numbers, what I haven't seen though are doves at my place (at least not enough to get me excited). The teal numbers that early are encouraging though

That's been everywhere from what I seen and been hearing
where's your place south West of Houston?

A good friend of mine is in port lavaca and he has not seen nothing yet. We need a couple good cold fronts to get them moving. IMO ? What's your thoughts??

I'm more WSW than SW, on the west side of eagle lake. Not sure why he hasn't seen anything yet.

No doubt some weather change and all the shooting next weekend when it opens will get them moving

Went get blinds ready in the Boston today. Saw zero teal but the marsh looks better than I've seen it a long time. Just have to wait on next weekend to see what's going to happen.

We have a lease around 1126 and south main, our farmer says he's seeing big groups around sun rise, gonna get at them Saturday morning, good luck

Good bunch south of gueydan

Went to our marsh between Holly Beach and Johnson's Bayou yesterday afternoon to get the blind ready and put out the decoys. Saw zero teal and a pair of mottled ducks. Our marsh looks good. Lots of widgeon grass in our pond.

I can't wait to see what happens at our new blind Saturday morning.

I think the guys that hunt the marsh might have a slow opening morning. But once the shoot starts in the rice fields the teal should start moving into the marshes.

Rice fields in welsh are holding good numbers.

they had big numbers around millers 2-3 weeks ago but it's THIN right now, i assume they're in mexico by now(speaking of the ones we were holding in Ville Platte)

I think it will be very hit are miss this teal season with all the water that is EVERY WHERE right now

Is it me or are there a lot more pintails and spoonies moving through this year w the teal the in previous years? bc i have seen a lot of both species.

Overloaded. That's good to hear. I have a lease in Welch but I only saw a few high while dove hunting on Saturday. Where abouts in Welch?

Limited, but took until 7:50am, rusty shooting, not as many as last opener hope more start showing up

In GC the teal were thin and the mosquitos were thick. 7 guns took 6 teal. I'm hoping all you rice field hunters got them moving today.

Four hunters....we ended with 17.
Not a lot flying South of Kaplan.

Slow morning in the Boston marshes today four hunter took 5 and that all came out of one blind other blind didn't get any close enough. Hoping the rice field hunters spread them around today for us marsh guys

Lot better numbers today in the Boston. Had flocks of 12-15 decoying well. Shot a two man limit by 7:40. Could have used a few more hunters this morning.

4 of had a 16 this morning South of Kaplan. I actually saw more this morning than yesterday.

We got 54 this morning but had to hunt till 9:00 to get them. Boy that sun don't take long to get hot.

nuttin at deep bayou

We killed 29 Saturday and 28 Sunday in Kinder. That red rider is deadly on cripples haha.
