Pretty sure its someones spare LLC the land owners used to get paid.
|
Can't get in because I don't have Facebook. What is it?

Redfish tournament made a deal with landowners for access during tournament. Sort of a slap in the face of Louisiana residents that are gated out of tidal, navigable waters.

The exact reason I quit the CCA many years ago . They will not get involved because some of there biggest donors are Major landowners in Southwest La.
The last CCA banquet I went to the President of the CCA must have said two or three times sold to Mr CCA ____ ______ __ !!! As he purchased items on the live auction . I was like , no shame in their game . At that point I was done . |
Jez, so the pros get to fish private unfinished waters.
IMO that would not make them a "pro fisherman" anymore. |
Will all the boats fish within the private waters?
|
they can fish anywhere they want but only boats with the official tourney sticker will be allowed in the private waters, anyone else can be cited for trespassing. every other tournament i have seen rules for or fished has a major rule that states that fishermen can only fish waters open to the public,

"that they worked so hard to create" I'd like to know what they did to "create" it. I think its ridiculous that we have marshes that are owned privately. That doesn't make any sense. I was always taught that up to the mean high water line is public water, and you couldn't own that, but I guess money changes things..

How do you go from this,
"With the RESERVE closed to fishing during this event, not gaining permission would have really bunched the anglers up in a small amount of good redfish waters," the announcement stated. "This partnership between the Elite Redfish Series and the Waist Deep Duck Club is a real game-changer." To this, In a short phone interview, Pat Malone, spokesman for the Elite Redfish Series, said he didn't know how big the tract is. "I don't know why that would be pertinent INFORMATION," he said. Malone also downplayed the significance of the arrangement with the Waist Deep Duck Club. "I'm not sure why the landowner's water, when (competitors) have got Lake Sabine and all this Texas water, why that little sliver would be of interest to SOMEONE to report on," he said. In two days. |

What do I get? |
Waist Deep actually owns 2 parcels separated by Black Bayou. Not sure which one they are allowing access to, East or West tract.

I would like to say that I am a personal friend of the owner of that property. He is a fantastic guy. A true conservationist. He is actually the president of Ducks Unlimited Mexico. I commend him for working with the tournament leaders rather than simply Governing the trespassers on his property. I posted the links to the maps of the property to alert people that this is private property. I don't think that the bayou that runs through the middle of the eastern most property is private but certainly the marshes around that bayou are private.
|
I saw a map some time back and the Bayou shows as state owned well beyond the boom he has out. That being said, when I was run out, the boom was not there. The guy rolled up on me and was very polite. He never had an attitude. Simply informed me it was private and asked me to leave.

we are the only state in the USA that does not have a law that says if it is navigable or tidal water you can fish it. |
