Pay it forward

Not sure if this will be in the right spot but here goes.....

Not smart enough for this idea myself, stole it from another board.

We all have stuff we are not using, but my be hard to sell so the idea here is to give some of it away and maybe get something you could use.

No cash. just barter and trade.
If you take something you have to offer something.
No whining about "I gave more" just trust that all things work out for the good.

So here goes.

I have two 1000 watt flood lights, never used taking up room in my shop.
yours if you want em.......

QUACKHEAD 01-30-2010 02:27 PM

Hey peddler, are they on the frame together or one seperate frame and seperate plug? Don't know what I have to trade yet but will look around?

eman 01-30-2010 02:59 PM

I traded 2 of those lights for the rights to night fish off the guys pier. great trade1

simplepeddler 01-30-2010 04:02 PM

two separate frames.

southern151 01-30-2010 08:33 PM

I could use a couple of flood lamps. Not sure what I have to trade ya. What you needin? Need some car parts? Small home radio with cd player? How about a handmade model of a 49 HD Panhead?LOL I bought it for a hundred bucks at a Christmas for Kids charity auction and have ZERO use or room for it!

This is actually a pretty cool idea!

Goatro 01-30-2010 08:43 PM

I might be interested. I ll trade you some firewood for dem. I got the hook up on a logsplitter. Think about it or come drink some beer and we ll barter. :grinpimp:

Dink 01-30-2010 08:46 PM

What kind of goose dekes?

Dink 01-30-2010 08:52 PM

Half shells.......some are so big you could hide in them, Come w/ carry bag all taken apart. They actually pack down pretty small

specktator 01-30-2010 08:54 PM

I'll think of some stuff and get back to yall. I got more half shells than I know what to do with! Like someone else said this will be pretty cool.

Salty 01-30-2010 09:02 PM

Excellent!

In the spirit of paying it forward, is there any auctions going on at the SaltyCajun.com tourney? If so, I'd be willing to throw my HD model in it and a few other things. I have a home surround sound system that I bought for the house over 3 years ago. It's still in the box. I'd donate it to the auction as well, assuming there is one. If not, does anyone want one? I'd trade it if someone had interest in it.

Dink 01-30-2010 10:58 PM

Do my wife a favor........I purchased a crossbow platinum weight machine(rival to the bowflex) a few years back......used it for three months, now its a 2500 dollar coat hanger taking up space in our room. Ill help you load it..........Tim

southern151 02-14-2010 08:53 PM

Likewise! You need anything, don't hesitate to drop me a line. I think the lamps may go in with the new shop when we get it up.

I still have a laundry list of things that I don't need starting with a wife!:*****::*****::*****::shaking: Just kidding! I guess I better keep her for a few more months. She's growin' a lil'un for me right now!

simplepeddler 02-14-2010 08:57 PM

Trust me, I speak with long tooth of wisdom grasshopper....lol
It is cheaper to keep the wife.

I have a mess of older kids life jackets by the way. On a scale of 1-10 they are about a 5 need some cleaning.
I just hate throwing them away.

southern151 02-14-2010 09:05 PM

Since we're on the subject of paying it forward, I have about 15-20 crawfish traps that I bought last year. They're used and in pretty bad shape. They are repairable though. I fixed 20 or better of them last year and was able to get good use of them. If someone wants the ones needing repair, come and get em. No charge, no guarantee they can all be fixed!
