if i dont go get it the neighbor shovels it in my yard and i feel bad cause i know my dog did it. It kinda looks like human crap he weighs 110lbs.
|
put a shock collar on it mine has the ones that when they get to far from the house it lites them up works well
|
i was thinking of doing the under ground line that shocks. i know the neighbors are tired of shoveling crap.anyone know how much they run?

This all comes down to training g........my kids left the back yard gate open over the weekend......I didn't notice till today......not one time did my dogs leave the backyard......they are out all day while I'm at work........spend more time training boundaries.........Tim

Ive had both, I now just have the wireless. The one in the ground worked good, but was a pain to lay and also a pain to find the break if the wire ever broke.

I remember leaving a doors open on the house. I got trained by my dad. After the belt a couple times across the rear:cry:, he had me open and close the door for about 3 hours and wave to the cars as they passed. Never forgot to close the door again, even if it he wanted it to stay open I closed it out of fear of a new training lesson. Warren |
You've never heard the old saying?..."A good dog never ****s in his own yard."
|
My house lab responded well to positive training. You might try that vs. shock collar or electric fence. We'd take her out to a spot, tell her to " do her bidness", when she'd go, we'd give her a small doggie treat. After 2-3 times, twice a day, she had it down. she'd go on command. Today, almost 9 years later, same thing. If she can't go, she wimpers and heads to the door or heel, knowing she ain't getting a treat. Just gotta be consistent.

Supposedly Females are better about that. My inside lab, i can let her out the front door, she'll walk down, do her business and come right back...(during the summer when she gets a wild hair, she decides she'll go swim in the bayou):pissed: but overall she's good about not going anywhere else |
