Think this my be my purchase when i get back. Any of yall ever heard of Panga Marine. Just sent in for a quote...not many of these around but i do have a padnah who has one and it's a pretty bad azz boat for the size. You can launch these things at the beach...b/c they're so light and the v in the front cuts the waves well. I've been out in a nasty chop with him and was very impressed. Plus these things are awesome on fuel and don't weigh much so trailering one to Madre, Amistad, Rayburn, or the Bend...well where ever i may fish...wouldn't kill me in gas trailering the boat. Well...the one i'm looking at is a skiff model...18ft in length..and the beam is 6ft. They're a narrower boat but this is part of making them fuel efficient. Though they are narrower than most 18ftr's they are just as stable due to the 11 degree dead rise w/ a flat rear section. Look'n at the center console model...although they can be custom fitted to preference any way you can imagine.

Dink 03-04-2010 10:59 PM

Don't require much motor does it.......cool boat man!

Here's another model...w/ a liner and more storage options: www.androsboats.com

B-Stealth 03-05-2010 07:34 AM

Very sweet boat me and Kahunaz's buddy has the 18ft skiff with the tiller handle 50 zuki. Top Speed 36mph, 9 miles to the gallon and will eat up some chop. Its a blast to drive when Big Lake is nasty.

I was waiting on you! They are really a cool boat though!

I saw the brand El Pescador or something like that yesterday at the Houston Fishing Show. Pretty nice looking boat, but the front deck just ain't for me.
I fished out of some Panga style boats in Mexico, Costa Rica and Curacao. They are dry riding and take some rough water. Lots of Latin American countries use them for close in fishing.

Here is the link to the ones I saw. http://www.elpescadorboats.com/photo_gallery.html

nice boats, i like that 32' foot model, what kind of a price are you looking at boat motor and trailer?

The 18 ft skiffs are not bad at all....casting deck height is just as high as most bay boats...comparing to the hydra-sports bay bolt 22ft etc. Now when you move up from there to the 22ft pangas and bigge..r front end is a lil too high for me too. I actually like the layout of the Andros front deck over Panga Marines. Not really digging the Elpescador...;)

Just got a quote for one fully loaded....liner, cc, trim tabs, 75 Etec...etc..19k....But i've seen them on boat trader new going for 13k...but that's stripped down...tiller handle 50 zuk and all....so putting a console in runs 750.. i'll swing the options around when i get back...haven't heard back from Andros on the Backwater w/ a quote yet...ill update then.

Panga

I'm selling my Panga with much trepidation. Sold my beach house where used it most and also have other fishing boats a little smaller and a little bigger and feel like the Panga is the most marketable. Ad is on saltycajun and I'm asking $13,500.

speck cc 11-01-2012 10:16 AM

I love these boats... Just wish they were wider... I need the room

Big Kahunaz 11-01-2012 11:31 AM

Mr Nathan. I have a person who is interested in your boat. I spoke with Paul tues about it. If u haven't sold it by thanksgiving I'm sure he'd love to take it off your hands and back to Florida with him. Wish I were able to take it off your hands! The Panga will be missed and will definitely make someone very happy!
