SC Tourney 1st bait out of box
 

OK, what will be the first bait out of your box the opening morning of the tourney......mine will be a top dog!

i am going with a whole menhaden

the bigger the better. i know there has to be that 30 lb trout in the "BIG" Lake and i am going to find her. I may only get one bite all day but it is going to count. In all honesty I will probably throw a brown's lure or something like that. Unless, if it is dead calm i will probably go top water cause that is just what you gotta do.

Me- topwater (she dog). Buddy- suspending bait (catch 2000). Pops- probably will try live (mullet) or corky (devil)

I have about a dozen of these between 10-14 inches. Best part is they double as guard dogs for my boat. They keep my rods, takcle, and twinkies safe.

juvenile tiger salamander, aka water dog, aka the best trophy bass bait ever!!! they can cost anywhere from $2-$5 each. I use them every year at Lake Fork the last week of March. Big Bait = Big Fish. They are sort of like frogs in that they are born and live in water at first then lose their gills and live on land.
