We need a Sabine Lake Tourny also. Texas/La. border dispute.

just a tournament in general....or which species we talkin about?

We could have a TX vs La bass tourny at toleda bend.

voted for lake P cuz its closer to home and would be less expensive but Grand Isle would be a blast. it was a toss up on my vote.

Most tournys are a 3 man team. Get 2 of your buddys to fish it with you and split the cost.

Shad told me that if we did a bass tourny his dad would be all over that!

Oh yea no doubt. I could round up 5-6 friends. maybe even more if it was lake P. now if its in GI I could probably get a team together but maybe only one team

for Lake P, lets see I could put together a 3 person team easily, talk another group of 3 into it easily, and probably even another 3 man team. And thats just quick gimme's if I really pushed I could probably get a few more teams to attend.

Man yall got me pumped, Im ready to get this on the road and goin. GI or Lake P, or heck even both. could do one in May and the other later in the summer/fall. Turn this into a 3 tourney a year ordeal around here

That was my suggestion. Just hard to put everything together with regards to sponsors, etc... Not that I am the sponsorship guru, but I learned that you have to have everything lined up by the end of Q3 for a tourney to be held the following year as sponsorship dollars are already committed by that time and there is a cutoff. Not saying everyone operates this way, but the big boys certainly do.

Can't tell you how many people I spoke to, but they all want to know the tourney history, # participants, # spectators, # sponsors, etc...

I think Shad/W need to make the call on all this stuff. I am more than happy to continue the sponsorship effort for the main charity event but anything beyond that may dilute someone's willingness to contribute as money is tight for everyone right now, even the big names in the industry...

i think hopedale would be good espc. if its windy like this past weekend it would allow people in smaller boats the ability to fish tons and tons of marsh or if the weather permits you can fish tons and tons of open water. all i know is after the sfa ( after june 6th) id like to have a goup of guys down to fish breton sound/ venice for fun or a lil cash pot

I'd do gi or lake p......rather gi.....more options......offshore, surf, Marsh up in leeville, don't need a boat to fish hwy 1, or just behind the island......
Trout, reds, flounder, snapper(both kinds), ling, aj, dolphin, you name it............

We need to do this regardless if its a tournament or not............just say when.

I'm all about gi. My favorite place to fish by far. We need to get a group to go no mater what.

Shad and I .........will get with Speckdaddy and Fool to make a decision about one in the late summer..........Im sure it will be Lake P due to the location is about the same for most of the East side of the state with a big wide open area to fish..........

Also were looking for a Freshwater one as well...might be Toledo or False River Lake....

We know we wont be able to please everyone but to make it fare as possible and convenient

the reason i voted for grand isle is to allow waders, kayakers, inshore, offshore, etc....

a little bit of everything for everyone, including the beach for wives/kids who don't fish

lake p is a hard lake to fish for newbies if you don't hire a guide

Who is hiring a guide..........Lake p is no where hard to fish.........dude you fish a damn bridge............. Big Lake is 100xs harder to fish than Lake P......

Plus Lake p we have a great spot to set up on location with everything we need

I think Grand Isle would be alot better than Lake P for the reasons Dink stated.

Whichever one has more gudies available would be my choice so everyone would have that option.





























Have never been at any of them, but from what I have heard I think Grand Isle would be better.

I first started throwin' Bombers at them rocks in East Timbalier.
