Saltycajun Toledo Bend Bass Tournament

Alright guys. How many people would be interested in another Charity Bass tournament??

Post up please with Ideas. We going to have one. Just yall give us some ideas date/set up/ etc

speckdaddy 03-16-2010 07:31 PM

south end tourney fer sure.striped bass also? gotta have a bream category

B-Stealth 03-16-2010 07:33 PM

I will be a panfishin mofo of you have that catagory.

I used to have a great wading spot for em in Buck Creek.

huntin fool 03-16-2010 07:34 PM

Thats what im thinking.

Bass 5 fish stringer

Biggest Bream

What could we do for the Striper category? I can get in plantations if yall want..

B-Stealth 03-16-2010 07:37 PM

Now Fool most of Toleda just got booze, I think Stripers is being a little optmistic.

Just say the word, doesn't matter to me where. Enjoyed the company all the past w/e, good thing cause we didn't catch squat!

fishmaster911 03-16-2010 07:59 PM

once again if im off call im there !
5 bass stringer bonus for live release
heaviest bream and crappie
i think it should be open to everyone ! not just salty cajun members, it would show everyone that the salty cajun is not just about SALTY water fishing !

3 pots

Big Lake Blondie 03-16-2010 08:07 PM

When we going? Let's go!

Red Devil 03-16-2010 09:07 PM

Just FYI fellas. One of our foreman's is on the Oilman's board or whatever and I asked him why the Oilman's was so early this year and he said because of availability of Cypress Bend. Vacancies will be the big issue just for the fact that there is a tourney on Toledo dang near every weekend. On another note, he also told me the oilman's will be the first weekend in April next year.

fishmaster911 03-16-2010 09:11 PM

red devil hit the nail on the head ! i think a Charity Bass tournament should be next year that way it give plenty of time to get things together ! just my 2 cents !

You check with Cypress Bend on that date? There are other places that can host a tournament, but this is the best on the lake.

We fish a company tournament, Cameron Communications, out of Big Bass every year with about 30 or so boats. There are others that are bigger.

If not a "tournament" how about a get together where everyone puts up some money for what they want to fish for and not go to the trouble of everything else?

fishmaster911 03-16-2010 09:40 PM

im on call !but hey u cant make everyone happy !!

If at Cypress Bend, it is mid lake and easily accessible with plenty of lodging within 10 miles of it.

Amen. I remember one year me and bud fishe the big bass splash and weren't catchin squat. We called Dennis Tietje and asked hime where to go and he said north of 1215 that time of year. We were like ***, we were at the south end of the lake.

I know that, but running that far in the dark with a hangover was bad mojo, so we thought better about it.

fishmaster911 03-16-2010 10:06 PM

dont count me out YET ! i still have time to work something out !!!!! :work:

Micah 03-16-2010 10:59 PM

RaginCagin 03-17-2010 10:51 AM

cypress bend is a good area also have a few bars just a few miles from there though i'm sure no one would be interested in that sort of thing.

goldenrod 03-17-2010 12:23 PM

Anyone want to help.

All honesty, ive never stayed at Cypress Bend. Always stayed at a bud's camp or at the State park

jchief 03-17-2010 06:16 PM

Ok

I will help WHAT I CAN.

Brayden, you call Cypress Bend and see if they are available that day?

jchief 03-17-2010 06:29 PM

stuff

how about 2 man teams, 5 fish stringer, live relase bonus. $40 per boat, $5 per person big bass pot.

Really think we need to do the life jackets and kill switch rule.

Doing bream and sacalait or just bass?
