I caught a bass and thought it might have been 10lds it was full of eggs and it was 25inches long, after looking at some pics, I think it might of been 7 or 8lds, I was excited I took pics and everything and then threw it back, so I know what he was thinking, It was big, it feels like 10lds but it hard to tell when you haven't had a 10ld bass in your hands. Its the same way with trout fishing, I never caught a trout over 4lds, I fish lake p. and I hope there is a day I catch one that is 8,9, or 10 lds but till then I'll keep on trying.

I'll be trying to catch a big bass on Toledo bend this weekend. hopefully I'll be posting a 10ldr!

Specks-n-Spots 04-05-2010 04:53 PM

20+ inches? no measurements. 20 inch trout go for round 3 pounds. at the most thats 4 1/2 - 5

huntin fool 04-05-2010 04:57 PM

I had a 20 inch this morning from lake charles fat like a foot ball, that went 2 1/2. :smokin:

"W" 04-05-2010 04:58 PM

Micah 04-06-2010 02:36 PM

My biggest trout came from the prien area....not far from where he is.

I passed down Lake Shore Dr about Noon today.........there were white caps out in Lake Charles and the water looked muddy. Wind was blowing 15 to 20 mph.

Dang...She must have been empty. One of my fish from last year went 8.4 and right at 30". The taxidermist said there wasn't a lick of food in her stomach, nor eggs. Plus she didn't spit up anything in the chest.

Only if we coulda caught them full!

long and skinny dood!!!!!! i got a picture some where, i'll look for it.

she was weighed on a really old scale though, and i did not measure her til i had already froze her..........the worst part is i caught it right before Rita came through and left it in the freezer and when my pops came back and cleaned the freezer......guess where my fish went.......in the damn dumpster!!!!!!!!:pissed: he did tell or ask me, all he said was it smelled really bad so he chunked it.

I ran from up in Contraband Bayou to the Cline Canal this afternoon.
Water in the ship channel looked clear and there was lots of bait jumping all over Indian Bay and Cline Canal.
It's starting to look good way up here, just got to get the winds to die down.
