Chicot 2/27
6 Attachment(s)
Decided to make a last minute camping/fishing/kayaking/hiking trip to Chicot. Full moon with cool temps were perfect and no mosquitos out. Got there early Fri afternoon, set up camp and put the yak in. Caught 3 bass, 3 pike and a big sac on weightless plastics very shallow. Lot's of blow ups but I think most were those pike as several times they would follow the bait all the way back to the yak. Went back in the morning fishing same pattern and nothing shallow so I moved to deeper water and caught a few. Had to really slow down to get a bite. By 10 the bite has completely died so went hike the trails. Released all fish. Can't wait to get back out there soon.

Can you eat those things? What are restrictions.
I remember about 30 years ago was a big population of them and they would get pretty big. Did not catch many in recent years until now. |
They restocked it with pike a couple years back.
North or South end? |
I was fishing north end. Why would they stock pike? They eat the same food as Bass and Sacalait.
