The garden took a beating
 

The weather we had last week took a toll on my garden. Completely destroyed my squash and beat the Hell out of my zucchini. My squash will have to be replaced, but I'm not sure what to do with the zucchini. Several stalks broke off on each plant so I clean cut them at the main stalk. I noticed last night there are new stalks starting to grow, but what I'm worried about is the plant spending it's energy on repairing itself and have horrible production because of it. What would y'all do? Pull them up and replant, or give it some time and see what happens? Below is the plants right after the storm.

Dont give up just yet they may perk back up now dat its over. My bush beans looked like a mess last night but are now sorting them selves back out.

I'm no expert but I would leave them alone . Long as the root system basically in tact they should come back fast . If you can move the mulch and stand them back up and shore up with a lil dirt and pull the mulch back that should help . Keep watered well . My exp. planting squash this late is they don't do well . I am in southeast though so we get hotter faster .

PS...You could always throw a few seeds in cups just in case . Seeds is basically cheap so if in a week or so the plants aren't doing so good you have some to replace . Move a lil mulch over and plant in the bed on side of what you have , you can always pull them up .

I'm in North Dakota. Worried about my potatoes.

Like stated above, I would leave them be. I had running water over my garden last year and my plants perked back up after about 4 days. I did lose a few though.
