Squirrel Season Opener

Got your spot picked out? Looks to be a decent weekend as far as weather. Just a couple more days. Have fun, be careful and bring a youngster. Of all the hunting we do we only hunt for squirrels. Deer and ducks we get good at sitting and waiting.

Can't wait. Love squirrel season. My lil padna ain't gonna make it wit me this year tho. But it's gonna be a good time for sure. I don't think I've missed a squirrel opener since my dad started taking me when I was about 3 or 4.

Sucks that your huntin buddy can't make it this time. I remember my little mans first squirrel. He's not so little anymore but I remember it like it was yesterday. He was one happy little fellow and dad was happy to :)

That's what it's all about T. Big smiles and great memories. Those experiences will make a fine young man.

my little boy is only 10 months old but you can bank on him being attached to me on opening morning in another 3/4 years but until then ZEEK-TIME! My favorite hunting!

I love squirrel hunting. I have a 14 yr old daughter that has been asking to go but I cant find anyplace around here. Sure is different then when I was growing up. Cant blame the land owners people throw trash and mess up property. Its sad.

Love this time of year; very special, especially w/the cooler temps.

Be safe & good luck

Coming into town this morning there was a steady stream of trucks pulling campers and trailors with ice chests and four wheelers headed to their camp. I unfortunately was headed to work.

Our family is not big on traditions; except, the first weekend in October. The women all know that PaPaw, uncle jody, and all the grandkids will be at the hill camping and hunting.

This will be our 35 year in a row. Miss Uncle Larry and Dad. They are hunting in bigger woods now. But the third and fourth generation squirrel hunters will be in training Saturday. The Tradition Lives On.
