Calcasieu River

Looking at making a trip down the calcasieu river to see if any white perch are biting. Seeing if anyone has been lately and can share any tips.

What part of river? Have u caught white perch there before? I'm in Toledo now but left the river to come here because of muddy water. Was hoping to find better water here but been working on boat motor since Monday and we finally got it going and making a trip in am.

2/17/18. The river was high and dirty this morning. I launched from White Oak and headed north. If I would have to guess the water is 3 feet too high. Water is outside it's banks and current running through the woods. Water temp was 62. If things don't calm down the farmers will be polluting the water soon and it will be weeks before it's fishable again.
