Warming and clearing water along with some live bait will get you some trout under a few picking birds on the north end of the lake. We like to see the water temperature around 70 degrees or warmer for good trout action and it?s headed that way. Captain Travis Spicer and his crew hauled in 54 trout using live bait and Hackberry Hustlers on Thursday. We have been seeing fair numbers of flounder fishing with bait and Gulp on the bottom outside the weirs and if you want to go to war with the big boys go to the Cameron jetties and soak some crab or bait on the bottom. The big bulls have been roaming the outside west rocks. Call toll free at 888.762.3391 and cash in on the spring catch here on Lake Calcasieu.
