Did you see what they get? The first 5 get a Haynie hooked on to a F-150 Texas Edition. Nice! That is if they pass the poly! Haha

It cracks me up that they have Sheephead and Gaftop divisions

One of the redfish that did not qualify was caught by a fellow that did not qualify ten years ago. He did not register for Star either time:rolleyes: Don't know about any of you folks but when I make a bonehead move I try not to let anyone know I am an idiot.:shaking:

With 77,000 members, Texas could have a tagged Mullet division like Louisiana has, wonder why not??

Lake Chuck Duck 06-08-2011 03:17 PM

Don't know LCD, would guess aroung 20-30 thousand statewide.

we use to have good prizes for the STAR......You could win a boat each month in each division...then it went to two and the boats were getting smallers

Now it one boat with a real small motor

Back in the day you had 24ft Champions with 250, 22ft boats with 150s

Now its all small boats

In a few years the Speck division will be 14ft aluminum boat..with two paddles

They are giving away several Nauticstar 21 footers with 150's....not bad if you ask me. Be glad they can still put on the star with our present economy.

Then the monster that was created two weeks after the ban on gillnets was enacted; may finally be redeemed.
