My lil girl got picked for the deer youth lottery hunt at Red River , we in the stand waitin on daylight ! Rained most of the night so hope they will be on their feet this morning .

Had two black hogs cross lane in front of us . No time to get a shot

We didn't see a deer this morning , but I think the spot we in will be better for an evening hunt . 5 youth hunters , 3 saw deer but none killed this morning .

It was wild action at the last minute ! Doe came out at 50 yds lookin at us then turned walked into woods , while waitin on her to come back two hogs started crossing in front , grabbed the gun fast tellin her Pigs ! Pigs ! Set gun , she grabbed it , I whistled , she shot ... Turned to right 3 does walked out at about 165 yds she was shakin from hog and couldn't get steady to make a good shot . They started walking straight away . Turned to left two does in lane at 200 plus ... This is all at dark thirty one . Then another hog crossed in front , then two more deer in front within 100 yds but she couldn't see em in scope !! Wildest 5 minutes ever! Attachment 61414

The little lady did an awesome job. That's a nice pig..... And after that fabulous lunch you described, my eyes would have been getting heavy in the deer blind lol....

And kudos to you dad for getting the kids in the outdoors.
