We take the same simple ingredients pour it into a hot well greased black iron pot let it form a brown skin then stir like ya scrambling eggs. The original Cajun breakfast cerial cush cush. That with milk, butter, a lil steens is heaven in a bowl.

ok. 1 1/2 c corn meal
1 tbsp sugar
dash of salt
1 egg beaten
1 tbsp bacon grease
mix this up and start adding water till it gets like a batter.
spoon into hot grease and turn over when brown and cook for about 3 more min.
good luck!

to make coosh coosh the ricipe is the same mix cornmeal, salt, sugar, and a beat up egg poor water till its like batter pour into a hot well greased pot let it sit till it forms a crust. Then ya kinda stir it up like scrambled eggs. We still do it for breakfast or supper its really quick easy comfort food. The p;one I remember Daddy putting a bunch of them in his hunting sac and ate em like biscuits when hunting or trapping he fried syrup or molasses into them. They were exellent lil energy snacks.
