Teal all over GC, but couldn't get them to work. we were buzzed by a large flock right before sun up and had a few loners and pairs buzz by. After our horrible display of shooting we dropped 2. One ended up deep in the rosos and we werent able to find it. Going to leave the starter went out on the boat. After sitting in the marsh for nearly 2 hours trying to get it to start we called a buddy to come get us. While waiting we messed with it some more and got it started and made it back to the launch. You should have seen my mad running and jumping skillz when we drove by the camp to get the ice chest. We were afraid to let off and it kill again so I jumped out of the boat while my brother made a pass and back into the boat - with the ice chest - on his return pass!

The fruit of our labor

Stuck at the launch. Mud boat was too heavy for my 2 wheel drive 1/2 ton.

It was a rough day for sure, but full of entertainment between me, my brother, and my cousin. When we finally pulled out of the launch we just all started laughing. It was one of those "this $h!t just really happened" moments. What could go wrong did go wrong, but we made it out and had a blast. To me that's better than killing a limit. I really wished we could have cleared the trail to our last blind, but I'll settle for just making it back! On the way out there I said if I kill 1 teal I'll be happy. I was just pumped to be back in the marsh after a long hiatus from hunting. Well, the good lord anwered and I got my one. SOB was tasty too.

Dink, I'm more like a Fred Sanford. If I could afford top of the line stuff I wouldn't always be up $h!t Creek........ Or at least I would have a paddle. :rotfl:
